To be clear, this is more of a 3.5 star place but I don't round my stars up. Good servers, good environment and decent prices. The pulled pork was good and didn't need sauce while the brisket was a little dry. Good flavor for both. Coleslaw and cornbread were disappointing. Coleslaw lacked flavor (but good texture and moisture) while cornbread was too dry (but I like mine a bit moist) Loved the house BBQ.

Got the 1 lb combo for lunch and a Manhattan to wash it down. They both were amazingly delicious!! Nice little restaurant with nice staff. Brisket and ribs were spot on. Secret gem is the sweet potato waffle fries they can not disappoint!! Did I mention the Manhattan?? Cuz it was reaaaaallllly good!!

We just saw this restaurant last Saturday for the first time. So we decided to go back tonight and have dinner. This is a very quaint little place in downtown Delaware. I ordered the brisket with corn bread and baked beans. The brisket was good, with a little more fat than I prefer, although I ate every bite. The corn bread was only fare. It was too flaky but dry. The portions were smaller than I thought they should be for the price. Their signature sauce was very good and the other two sauces were okay. We may go back sometime.

Great atmosphere loved the sweet potato waffle fries appetizer with pulled pork. I know next door is so good and we wanted to give this a shot. In short corn bread is awful so dry and just crumbled. Baked beans great, green beans good, brisket was flavorless and that sums it up a dinner. I will go back because how much I love it next door but first run was not what I expected.

The food itself was delicious. The menu has a lot of variety and the drinks are priced normal for a restaurant. I would say that while the food was good, the prices are a bit much in relation to the portion sizes. I ordered a large side of mac and cheese for six dollars, and when it arrived my first thought was how puny the small portion must be if mine was a supposed large. Seriously, it was maybe one cup of mac and cheese for SIX DOLLARS. My boyfriend was happy with the overall price of his meal, but wasn't a fan of the cornbread. That said, the service was amazing. Only one waitress was working but she was kind and attentive to the needs of every table. I love the layout and laid back feeling of the place. On a sunny day, I could see myself back again.

Take this review with a grain of salt. Your experience may be vastly different. I honestly hope it is. However, my wife and I were thoroughly disappointed. The food was mediocre. The brisket was extremely fatty, without much flavor. The corn bread was as dry as a cracker. The macaroni was bland. The only saving grace for this place were the sweet potato waffle fries. Very Good! The bartender/waiter was also very friendly.

Friendly service, wings were outstanding, smoked sausage was good, excellent cornbread and Manhattan. Only 4 stars because the brisket (although tasted good), it was not very tender. Had to use knife and was still somewhat tuff to get through. Maybe just an off night for the brisket cooking?? Again though, overall great meal and service... will be back again.
