Oh my, J Gumbos is the best! Their service goes above and beyond. And if you haven't tried their food, you must. It is fabulous..full of flavor and never dull. And if you have a problem, they are there to see to it. Cajun dishes, sweet cornbread, cobblers...try them!!!

Wonderful atmosphere & GREAT food!
There is also artwork for sale to help people with disabilities, which is an added bonus. (You will have to go in and look around to learn about the charity 😉)

Service has always been quick and employees are both kind and helpful. Food is always phenomenal. I've eaten here the most out of any other place in Delaware and you should too, my friends and family I've brought along rave about this place. Didn't realize they moved to William St at first, but they now have a bigger building with a patio and private parking for easier access! :)

Went there today for the first time. I was greeted with such kindness! I sampled several items. Each one was wonderful. I ended up with vodoo chicken, bumblebee stew and red beans with rice. It was a perfect combination of sweet and mild spice. Food was absolutely amazing and service was wonderful. Ifyou haven't been there, you're missing out 💓💓

Took my girlfriend here Friday for her first time. The employees were inviting, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. They let us try samples to gauge the level of heat each entrée had. The food was great! We were both also impressed with how clean and tidy the restaurant was. We will certainly be returning again.

First time back since they moved to the new location. Food was still great. Really like the on site parking instead of having to search for something on the street which can be really tough. Staff was extremely friendly and recommended the place to anybody.

This is a go-to place for us whenever we are in the Delaware area. Sometimes we get to eat there but usually we get it to go for a 3 hour drive home to share with our family. Like it hot, they have you covered. Like it mild, they have you there too. Great menu, good food, fair prices and good service.
