I had an absolutely delightful time dinning at Yen Ching last night. The staff ( Caroline & Marilyn ) could not have been nicer and the meal was very good. I was given instruction on how to read some of the Chinese writing on the wall and the order in which I should eat the food that I had ordered. I now have two of my newest best friends and will be back whenever I'm out in DeKalb and hungry again.
This is the best Chinese food around! This is the place we take our relatives to when they come to visit. Even the boy we had stay with us from Argentina said that this place was a must to go back too before he went home...
Absolutely amazing. Service was great. They are so friendly and personable. They knew most of the people who came in to dine or for take out and was so pleasant to see them interact with their customers.
Food came out hot and fast. It was so delicious.

We were treated like royalty, with service fit for a King! Our dishes were brought out quickly & were divine. Everyone working in the dining room checked on us readily. These folks are kind and loving souls!
This is now one of our favorite places to go for vegan options.
We get the Bean Curd Soup that comes with an assortment of vegetables and Tofu. We also get the mushroom fried rice ordered without eggs and the house vegetable deluxe which comes with white steamed rice.
The staff is excellent and funny and really goes above and beyond for their guests.
They were also one of the top restaurants when asked who had the best service in DeKalb County Area Restaurant Foodies Group.
PS: There is no guarantee that this is made without meat products as most restaurants use the same grills and equipment that cooks meat products.
Food still as awesome as it was in the early 90s. Family owned restaurant that’s loved by the locals. Food is Chinese American and tastes excellent and is made with fresh ingredients. I travelled all around the world and food here is still fire. 🔥🔥
The staff here are half the reason I have enjoyed visiting here as much as I have. Love the owners, they do not get enough credit for how nice this place is. The food was great, so if you're in the mood for pick up or dine-in, I'd highly recommend giving this place a visit. My friends voiced how much they appreciated the portions here as well and I must agree, they bring plenty to offer.
Yen chings has always been delicious but jadnt been in a while. I went in tonight and ordered take out as I got there so I was able to sit and watch the guests come in for table seating and pick ups. I was blown away but the generosity and amazing customer service and love EVERYONE recieved from some of the staff. It was like every one was family. Even I felt like a regular. And the food amazing as usual. Spring rolls are great and so is the shrimp fried rice! Please stop in and support this local family business!

Hands down the best in town!
Moved to DeKalb in the mid 1990s to go to the university and this is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the area.
I've long since moved away but whenever I'm in town it's either Yen Ching or World Famous Pizza in Lord Stanley's. Happened to be there about a month ago and the won ton soup was still delectable!
