Restauration Restaurant

We were there for a reunion. The appetizers were good. Several of us left the reunion area and went down to the bar. The bartenders were great. They were kind and were on top of filling our drinks when empty. I've heard that the regular food here is good, but I haven't had any. The decor in the place overall is nice. Feels fairly elegant.

Beautiful Hotel, fantastic restaurant that faces the heart of downtown Decorah. Nice quiet setting and our service was outstanding. The menu had great options and our selections - the Cuban and a turkey/bacon panini - were both very good (with enough food to take home for another meal). Nice selection of local craft breweries as well as a full stocked bar. Definitely worth a visit!

I really wanted to like the new Hotel Winn restaurant, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The menu is, based on our table of 6, universally underwhelming: Poorly executed, missing promised components, and bland. The only thing seasoned at all was the soup, which was so salty it could have been used to brine pickles. All this came at premium prices-- currently the most expensive menu in town. I cannot recommend Restauration at all, which is unfortunate because the waitstaff was friendly and competent.
