Old Armory Bbq

This place was ok. I got the catfish and girlfriend got a salad. Lunch was nearly 50 dollars. That's getting a bit pricey for a meal on a road trip. You do get alot of food but you should for that kind of cash. I also thought the fish was a bit undercooked and the brussel sprouts were hard. Service was fast, bathroom and place was clean, but food was not up to par. 3 of five stars.

The restaurant is cool, with interesting decor and nice vibe. The staff was very friendly. The food was generally under-seasoned. We needed to add salt and pepper to almost everything. This place has good potential. The pulled pork was more like shredded pork, as it was shredded into very small bits...I would have preferred meatier bites. It was also under-salted and didn't have any smokey flavor at all. The brussel sprouts were really good. They didn't need more salt, but did taste better with salt and pepper added. The carrots in this dish were amazing. The mac and cheese was great! Very creamy and with good flavor. The chips didn't really taste like anything, even though there appeared to be a lot of seasoning on them. Perhaps they needed more salt for everything to shine. The sweet pepper slaw was really good. A nice change of pace from typical BBQ sides.

Would give 10 stars, if I could. Great atmosphere, yummy food, and friendly staff. The owner came out and made sure everything was great for us. All 4 of us had something different (salmon salad, pulled pork sandwich, mac n cheese, sweet potato tots, baby back ribs, house fries, corn bread) and it was all YUMMY!!! oh, and the bread pudding was an AMAZING! We will definitely be back!

Holy Barbeque sauce Batman! We ordered a smoked turkey sandwich, a side of chips and brisket with the fixings. The turkey was sliced in thick slabs and was tender and juicy. The chips were crispy and tangy. Brisket was the same tender large portion as the sandwich. The options of bbq sauce was amazing. Very nice outdoor seating option. Service was fast and friendly. Definately a satisfying experience.

Walked in and stood there for almost 10mins before anyone came out of the back area. No noticeable bell or anything to ring to get their attention. Ordered 3 things and cost over $40! The food was not hot, lukewarm at best, and they forgot the cornbread that came with the salad.(this was not a big deal but still) Got sick from the food, so definitely will not be going back.
