We absolutely love this restaurant. When my best bud Tom was alive, we would drive almost 2 hours to eat there. Now, as a Hotshot Trucking operator, I pass by there occasionally, but it is either late, or I am in a hurry to beat the DFW traffic.
I had to take my truck into a nearby Diesel shop, so we made a day of it, dining there.
Food was as good as we had remembered, plenty to choose from. Salad bar, pinto beans, and the biggest shrimp of any place we have ever seen. Like eating a piece of chicken.
The service is great, friendly, and attentive. My only regret is that we live so far away to dine more often.
It was my first time going in. Ive passed this place plenty of times on my way to/fro the metro plex... When i entered they greeted me explained The menu process. If u eat in you get the salad bar with your meal.. I ordered a half order of salmon with grilled shrimp, and a baked potato. It was very fulfilling. I will be going back and take my hubby with me so we can try the fried fish basket..
This was delicious! Old style country cooking! Food was very very good! Everyone was very nice and friendly while we were eating! Would definitely recommend to others. Price was good for the amount of food and quantity.
The staff were greatly accommodating for myself and my Pop, both of us have disabilities. Food was great, and service was the best I've seen in a while. Restrooms were decently clean considering lunch and all. Definitely love using this place as our halfway meeting point.
Loved it! The chicken fried steak was tender and crusty. Served with great fries and gravy. We also bought their fresh made-to-order fried pies - wonderful! Service was fast and friendly! Plenty of parking too.
Went to eat here on our way out of town and it will now be a staple stop for us! The service was phenomenal and we were served with a smile! Eliason was our server and he was very attentive and had a great smile! The food was beyond delicious, from the fresh salad bar to their fried catfish! Can not wait to go back!
Great catfish, the 3 of us shared the jumbo plate and still took home 2 fillets…. We will be back
