Had to review with a few negative comments on here. My husband and I just visited this week. We went at lunch time and got seated right away. The waitress was very friendly and since we had never been there she explained the menu to us. The salads were very good with the house made bacon dressing! Homemade yeast rolls very good and the waitress brought more as many as we wanted. I ordered the Filet Mignon rare and he ordered the Ribeye Medium Rare. Both steaks were delicious and melted in your mouth. (We are from the Midwest and we know a good steak and these were excellent!) The sides were good as well, mac and cheese and the squash casserole. Then for dessert we ordered the apple pie with ice cream with the brandy and butter sauce, WOW is all I can say! A great experience from the beginning to the end. We are not from Texas but this is just what I think of when I think of Texas from the décor to the good food and friendly staff( they even sing here) ! Thanks!
Five of us went here on Valentine’s Day and we can’t say enough good things about our dining experience. The food was excellent, service equally good and a nice atmosphere. Manager came by a couple of times to check on us but our waitress Connie did an excellent job. Highly recommend. We tried filets, ribeyes and chicken fried ribeyes. Pecan pie very good too.
No beating around the bush. Go eat here. I had smoked porked chops which were super but the sleeper was the home made bread. Steaks were wonderful.and sides really good. The flavors were none I have had before but so good. From entry to exit everyone was very nice. Take time to walk the square in Decatur. The courthouse is so cool

I had been driving about 13 hours and Sweetie Pie's was my first meal of the day. To start off with those delicious yeast rolls was incredible. I ordered the petite filet and it was perfectly cooked and the baked potato was loaded and delicious as was the squash casserole. The service was excellent and every time I go through Decatur I plan on stopping at this restaurant.
By far the best find we have had during our stay in the Dallas Fort Worth area so far. The service was amazing and the food was incredible. With some very talented servers serenading us to boot. 10/10 would go again.
Today was just the sort of a day that a bowl of Ribeye Chili could fix ;) so we made the short drive up 287 for some Sweetie Pie's!
We were seated promptly and orders were taken in timely manner. Husband got the chili while I decided to try the chicken breast sandwich since I always get the Monte Cristo. I did enjoy my sandwich! I had also ordered a side of squash casserole to give a whirl. We ended our meal with the Cowboy Custard, I didn't care for the brazed caramel on top though.
Great visit as always! When friends ask me what I think, I tell them to just make the drive up to Decatur (I've never given the new NRH location a try) because I know they'll be pleased with the staff and food.

One of the top five steaks I have had in my life. Prefect boneless ribeye, only thing I would have changed would be been ordering the bigger one lol, but seriouslyi orderedthe 16oz but only ate half because I wanted to try their dessert. The cabbage side was excellent.
For dessert I tried their Cowboy Custer, very tasty but extremely rich so I only ate about half of it.
The original Sweetie Pies Ribeyes . Fantastic food and customer service is a full 5 stars.. One of the waitresses walked around with a mic and was singing to all patrons.. Tou gotta try this place. It's amazing! :)

I can't say enough about my first experience here, so I'll try to summarize.
First off, incredible service. The waitress was very knowledgeable and took pride in her knowledgeable of the menu and specifics to each food item. She had an answer to every detail I asked.
Details are what made this place so incredible. Every item was unique in it's own way. From the bread they bring in the beginning which had some sort of special honey that was put in it to sweeten it all the way to the dessert the waitress surprised us with. Hot apply pie on a sizzling skillet with a brandy sauce and ice cream. Best pie I've ever had at a restaurant.
The main course was awesome. The wedge fries were very fresh, squash casserole had some unique sauce going on that had an odd mixture of ingredients I've never heard of, yet was very good. The country fried ribeye was amazing and the pepper flavored gravy that topped it was equally as good.
Only thing average here was the water.
Will definitely make a trip back to this town just to eat here again.
