Bar Louie - Dearborn

Atmosphere ok. I am sure this was due to being a Monday, but I was 1 person of 10 at the bar, with 3 bartenders, service very slow. Wings were cold. The $11.50 drink was not even close to good. For the price I would have expected better service and food actually warm. Tacos were good flavor for $13. Again I can only assume it was because it was Monday…

Bar Louie!! YUUUUUMMMMM! Always a great place to go with friends to grab a quick bite to eat and watch the game. They have many many TV screens throughout the bar. No bad seat in the house when viewing the game. The place was very nice in appearance, and looked clean and well maintained. The restrooms were clean and didn't look scary to use. 😉😊 The table and stool was free of debris, not sticky, and seemed new. The waitress was very good; She was pleasant and acted very professional. We gave her a $10 tip. The food was amazingly tasting. The French fries are always perfectly cooked. The shishitso green beans were very very good! I recommend you trying them. Very large portion also. The parking was free, which is located behind the restaurant in a parking structure. The parking area was very well lit, and appeared to be free from dangerous entities. Overall, the experience was great. I recommend you visiting this area corner stone, you won't be disappointed.

I ordered the That’s My Jam burger with “house made bourbon sauce”. No bourbon sauce in sight, but they did throw in some random grape jelly packets. Called the restaurant and told them what happened and the guy that answered said that just how the burger is served. I asked for the manager and they said “he’s busy but you can come up here”. Why would I drive back there to talk to someone who isn’t available? I normally love bar Louie but the last two times I ordered it was really terrible.

Had burger there twice but first time it was cooked perfect. Bacon was perfect, egg was perfect, and medium well was juicy and slight pink. Second time was unfortunately the exact opposite. Bacon was dry and no flavor, egg was over cooked, and medium well was well done and dry. Also ordered fish and chips and found a hair in the batter dipped portion of the fish (a LONG piece of hair). The one bite I did have was pretty good though. Fried pickles were pretty good. The pineapple ginger cooler ( Non-alcoholic) was pretty good. Fries were pretty good but the tots were over fried and too crunchy. On the fence about going there a 3rd time to figure out if the second time was just a fluke. The service was average. Nothing phenomenal. She smiled here and there but didn't seem too happy about being at work but was respectful. The bar was probably at about 30% capacity.

So the one star for the appetizers, which were quite good and came quickly. Otherwise it should be 0. Very slow service, although the place was at 1/3 capacity. I had to wait for about 20 minutes for my beer. When I asked about it, the lady said it's gonna come soon, which took another 10 minutes. Then, I waited about an hour in total for the food. We were a group of 6, I give you that, but even the time between the first and the last was like 20 minutes, unacceptable. Last but not least, the burger. Small, dry. Sorry.. this is not worth your money nor your time.
