I was first introduced to Roodies at the Dallas Farmers Market. We would go just for the amazing tacos and hotdogs. The brisket tacos with the AMAZING green sauce is something out of this world. The service is spectacular. You will NOT be disappointed if you try this place. I wish I could give it more stars because it definitely deserves it. Also the fries (I'm not sure if he still offers them) but oh my goodness. Mouthwatering.

The brisket tacos are sooo good, with the fresh made corn tortillas. The juicy Lucy was great as well. We also had the smoked nopales taco, a smoked carnitas taco and a Cali burrito. Everything was great, the brisket taco is a must try though. The chef is very nice too and is passionate for what he does. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!

We love this place. The food is amazing. The chef came out our first time there and introduced himself. They remodeled and have board games. I would recommend for the food and the craft beer is a plus too!

First of all, we loved meeting and visiting with you, Roodie! Best of luck in your new place. Second … the food is amazing. My husband and I split the Cali-Burrito and Brisket Tacos. Fantastic, unique taste. Love the green sauce. Can’t wait for that to be bottled. We’ll spread the word and see you again soon.

handmade tortillas made to order. how many times have you had tacos with freshly pressed tortillas? if your answer is 'never,' you may now understand how Rudy has gained a dedicated network of regulars or 'Roodie's Foodies' who follow their stomachs to pop ups at breweries or to his new location at Craft and Growler. Rudy makes my favorite tacos that I've ever had. He also makes my favorite Nashville Hot Chicken that I've ever had, even though I am still puzzled by the blue bun. The Big Papi Hilton breakfast taco is a chonky delight topped with amazing brisket and necessitates a fork and knife- an amazing and messy way to start a Saturday. The Cali burrito takes me back to late night bites on the West coast. I've sampled everything that Rudy had ever sold, and it has all been top notch if not the best that I've had. somehow Dallas restaurant critics have not yet fully reviewed Roodie's food yet and spread the good word, which is insane to me. wanna be the cool person in your friends group with the on point recs? Try Roodie's.

Absolutely phenomenal tacos. Truly an amazing experience watching the tortillas being made in front of you then having the best tacos of your life. I started off with a small order then had to go back for more because they’re that good. I will definitely be back & would recommend these anyone looking for some great tacos.

Best tacos and more in Dallas! Been following Roodie’s all over Dallas for over a year for his smoked brisket tacos and homemade tortillas and couldn’t be happier that he finally got the brick and mortar location he deserves. Do not sleep on the California Burrito, Cheesesteak, Birria Tacos, or the Earl Spence Jr (best breakfast taco ever)!

First of all, best brisket tacos in Dallas!! I’ve recently have also fallen in love with the spicy and smoky carnitas, amazing! Roodie’s shack embodies everything food service should be. First and foremost, the menu is delicious. Quality ingredients with purposeful mixing to achieve the best flavor. Everything the wiener Rudy creates to our in his menu has been personally crafted and tasted by him. The food speaks for it self but Rudy makes this business thrive even more. He truly caters to foodies out there like us trying to find the best culinary experience and he gets it! You really see the effort and passion he puts into his work. I can’t recommend him enough!

Tacos, tacos and more delicious tacos, that's what comes to mind going forward when I think of Roodies Shack. Not only does the owner (Rudy Pena) take the time to actually speak to his patrons in friendly chatter but the presentation of the tacos I ordered was second to none. You can tell how much care and preparation goes into each entree offered on his menu. This place offers an assortment of staple travel dishes but my recommendation would be the chicken tacos! Trust me, you will not be disappointed!
