I LOVE this place!! The BEST seafood in Dallas County if not Texas! The food is delicious, hot, and crispy. Vegetables and sides are cooked to perfection. And there prices are decent for fish. You can get 10 butterfly shrimp for $3.99 (in 2023). It's worth every penny. Your missing out if you've never tried it.
Great food attentive service given how busy they were first time stopping in for me on a road trip
This place is GREAT 👍 . The cook they have now really gets a good scald on the fish. The tables are not sticky. For those of us that wash our hands before and after we eat the men's restroom is very very clean.
First time eating here and everything was very good. Food was hot and fresh. Employees were nice and friendly. Dining area is clean and nicely lit. Will eat here again if we're in the area.

Superior to Long John Silvers. Both the spicy and regular fish fries are great. Hush puppies are delicious. Have yet to get a bad order from here.
This Caption D's is always on point! The food is always fresh , made to order, perfect and mouth watering. I have never been here without having a great experience. Any wait time is definitely worth it.
We been going here for years, my mommy used to work at the one that was in south Dallas when I was young so of course this is her favorite lil eatery.... we always get the country style fish and I love the spicy flavored....

Went out of my way to get this food. Captain D's was one of my first jobs when I moved to Texas. Moved in to management and stayed with them for several years. Can't believe that Shoney's Corp pulled them out of Texas. They need to bring them back. The food at this one and only location that I know of was outstanding. Price was decent for the amount and quality of the food.

I ordered a couple of classic combos for takeout after after not eating Captain D's since the mid 90's. From the moment I walked in the door, the employees were very polite and courteous while taking their job seriously and respecting their work and customers. The young man who took my order also displayed good communication skills. He even took the time to show me the contents of my order before placing it in the bag and sending me on my way, which was very much appreciated. The food was at least as good as I'd hoped it would be. I was pleasantly surprised, and I'm already looking forward to trying some of their other items in the near future. However, as with everything these days, the prices weren't exactly cheap. One extra piece of fried fish shouldn't cost nearly $3. Unfortunately, he forgot to include cocktail sauce with the rest of my sauces immediately after I'd requested them. However, since everything else was quite good, I'll overlook that mistake this time. I definitely won't forget this experience, and I'll probably recommend this place to others. I wish there were more of these around, and I wish all fastfood restaurants were more like this. I'll definitely choose this Captain D's over Long John Silver's! Good food, great service, mediocre prices. 4/5 stars. Thank you!
