You have to try the bone in pork chop with smashed potatoes and don't forget the slaw. You will not regret this meal.
Great service and great food..will continue to back to this friendly little place.. ♡ it..
We were in the area (we are rarely in Downtown Dallas) and we love trying local places. This restaurant didn't disappoint!! Everything was great.
The pictures were an afterthought.
We had the boudin balls, jambalaya, and red beans and rice.
Definitely recommend if you like Creole food.
Pretty good! Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. We agreed the gumbo was the best. The fried appetizers could be a lot crispier. The crab boil could have more seasoning. My chicken Alfredo was pretty good! Overall we enjoyed it.
WOW! I just found an authentic NAWLINS style Creole Kitchen and bar. With all the authentic ingredients and taste It automatically brought back memories of the French Quarter ambience and it also has many screens viewing your favorite teams! They also have a full bar to boot! The new spot for your next tailgate “Who Dat” party and your favorite place for a Sunday Brunch is Charlie’s Creole Kitchen!
Wonderful little Creole place. Staff is very attentive. I had the Crawfish Monica on the bartender’s recommendation and it was excellent.
A group of us came here after work. Only one had been previously. 5PM wasn't crazy, but it's definitely a chore to find parking on Greenville.
Our group was divided on the food...
I got a Blackened chicken salad, thought the chicken was seasoned well. The coleslaw looks like kimchi, but it's differently seasoned. It wasn't what I expected, but it was good.
My friend got blackened shrimp. It was her first time having "blackened seasoning" and she loved it. She didn't feel like the sides were on the same level. Another friend loved the rice and slaw.
Our friend from NOLA was disappointed there was no potato salad. She had Etouffe. She didn't like the boudain balls, I think the sauce threw her off. Another friend loved them and the sauce.
The Cajun tamales apparently never disappoint.
The girls said drinks were okay, but selection is limited. I guess it's basic things like...beer, margaritas, rum and coke, vodka tonics. I think that's good enough.
They've got a great group of staff working.
Restaurant is clean and bathrooms are clean!
They have patio seating, I didn't ask if it's dog friendly. My husband stopped by with my giant to tell us hello and the staff didn't get upset over him in their patio area... So maybe.
First and foremost, I would love to bring recognition to this restaurant! I’m from out of town and came here for a Togo order on August 17th, 2023 and everything was amazing! The food was excellent and fresh, the host was so sweet, and the atmosphere was top tier! It felt VERY welcoming in this place and would suggest anyone to come here. This will be a place I recommend to anyone going forward. I’ll be back before I head home to Nashville. Keep up the good work, it’s definitely paying off.
This was a great find. Saw the restaurant walking down Greenville one day and said I would stop and try. Hubby and I were out Sunday afternoon and stopped in about 3:30. There were only a few people dining so we didn't have to wait. The place isn't large but cozy and clean. The service was amazing. The servers gave great suggestions. The fried green tomatoes were excellent with the sauce and shrimp on top. The salmon was superb. I will be back. This is going to be one of my staple spots. It's truly a hidden gem 💎.
Incredible service & outstanding grub. I placed an Uber Eats order that was cancelled after the driver picked up the order, so I called the restaurant to confirm my suspicions that the Uber guy stole my food. The woman that answered the phone was easy to reach & very kind, she then passed me over to the manager and he was on the phone immediately responding to my issue. He showed outstanding service that you rarely see nowadays; Personally took my order, expedited it, & delivered the food himself! This team has just secured a lifelong customer. Way to go team! Y’all are great & the grub was great!
Wanted to try some place new and came upon Charlie's. Food was great. Definitely glad I found it. I had boudin balls for my appetizer and jambalaya for my entrée. My girlfriend had Cajun fries as her appetizer and grilled chicken Alfredo. My boyfriend had Cajun tamales as his appetizer and seafood pasta.
My food was so good! I ordered the shrimp wrapped in bacon, I would have preferred it grilled (and bigger shrimp) but it was still good. Now the red beans and rice with sausage was top tier, it was more beans and sausage than rice though. Oh and I ordered tamales but I received the wrong thing, but the stuffed jalapeños were so good so it kind of worked out 🤷🏽♀️
