I worked for Prego for 9 years. It was a honor to serve their consistently delicious food!!! The Barracco's are a close family and they make the servers and customers feel like they are part of that. I always said if I fell short on my server abilities, the customers would forgive me when they got their food! The Veal Italiano is my favorite. Lightly breaded veal in a lemon cream sauce served with fettuccine alfredo a salad and tons of bread! Top it off with a piece of lemon cake and they will have to roll you out in a wheel barrow. The steaks are thick and tender. Everything is cooked fresh to order.
It's no wonder they have customers that have been eating there for 30+ years. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
I took me and my girlfriend for the first time and everything was great. Cozy little spot. We tried the artichokes for our appetizer and it was fantastic. I would recommend this place to everyone. We will be back. Thank You.
Excellent service start to finish. You can feel the history and family atmosphere when you walk in. Pepper steak and lasagna were delicious. The bruschetta was probably the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Will be back.
Charles helped alot
We had italin sausage pasta. So delicious. Well priced. The place looks better from inside than outside.
They have Valet service too. Very friendly. We loved Charles.
We came in for lunch, and will come here again for dinner. I highly recommend it. One of the last authentic places you can find. It's hard to keep the prices low.
Our first time visit was the spot we just ran into, and I highly recommend it. The wait is worth it. Had a margarita with Don Julio on the rocks, and it was done just right! The bread was a bonus.
I love this place, good food and good atmosphere. I love how they have bread and butter on the table. The servers are professional and engaging. The only down side is that it is expensive to the extreme. This is only a special occasion type of place for me.
Went here with friends after a few drinks. The menu here is quite extensive with traditional Italian dishes. There is something for almost everyone here. One thing not on the menu is chicken Murphy. But I asked our waiter if the kitchen could make it. He asked for the ingredient list, I provided it and out it came. One of my friends ordered the same and another took advantage of the Italian sampler. Each of us found our meal to be excellent and more than we could eat in one sitting.
We took two bottles of wine and paid a small cork fee ($25) to open two very nice bottles.
Overall, Prego is a little gem with upsCale service and vibe. If you’re in the area, give them a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
It was family get together, so there was way too many drinks and over the top amounts of food to deep dive into it, but Prego's never disappoints. Top hits were the Shrimp Parm, lemon chicken and the best cocktail was an espresso martini.
Service was awesome especially how big all the tables were that night.
First off, service was great! Charles was so nice and made us feel like we were a part of the family, even though it was our first time coming in. We came in near the end of the night when they were wrapping up, and where most places try to rush you out the door, Charles let us know that we could take our time and enjoy ourselves. Also, we were spoken to by just about everyone on the staff which was also nice. We had the Alfredo and the Chicken Italiano which were both really good. HIGHLY recommend the crab claws and make sure to dip your bread in the garlic sauce. The chicken fried steak was suggested for a lunch item, so I think we will go back to try that. Happy to have tried this family spot.
A family owned restaurant that has been around for 40 years ‼️🍝 Yes Prego Pasta House is absolutely a Dallas favorite! Prego means “Welcome” in Italian and they want everybody to feel like you’re coming back home for a family meal when you’re dining in with them. The recipes they use are family recipes — indeed true Italian flavors! Wine is truly perfect to pair with every appetizer and entree, plus service was first class and efficient too! If you are seeking for an old fashioned, authentic Italian dining experience this is definitely the spot to go! 🙌🏼

I’ve been here twice looking forward to go again. the service is quick and friendly. the atmosphere is a vibe, only negative is that the restaurant smells a little funny. I think it’s fairly priced.
The Caesar salad is really scrumptious and fresh.
The bread and butter is nice but eat the bread quickly or else bread will get stale.
The sauce on the lobster ravioli was to die for. nice touch with the shrimp bits which they were bigger.
The marinara sauce on The chicken Parmesan was really tasty. Perfect amount of cheese and the chicken was delicious.
Great place & food was awesome. Check your bill. I may have gotten someone’s mistake but the bill was 2x what we ordered. They fixed it, but just a reminder to check.
