Cute little spot in Deep Ellum. It was empty when I went but I can see that they’re Togo orders are nonstop!!! The food is really good. Edamame dumplings with tofu inside are a must try. They do have a few different vegan options from apps to main course. Definitely recommend if you want something fresh and light.
I ordered the chicken noodle soup, and add it to food. They came in the form of tater tot tofu. It was so d*** delicious I had spicy level 8. The veggie egg rolls are amazing after soaking in the soup for a few moment. JUST DELICIOUS
It's definitely an experience. Good food and ambiance. AC was broke so caution in the heat.
My brother recommended this place and LOVED IT. The chicken noodle soup and dumplings were amazing as well as the atmosphere of the inside of the restaurant. Would eat there again!!
Slap My Face: this place was freaking delicious!! We ordered the Dan Dan noodles, Soup Dumplings, Pork Dumplings, And Cucumber Salad. Everything was bursting with flavors and so filling. Their customer service was good, the atmosphere was nice and cozy, and they even have out door seating. I really liked this noodle place, and as most of my friends know...I love Noodles! 🍜
The noodles were sooooo good! It was a bit hard to eat because the weather is so hot already but still super delicious. The dumplings were okay, not much soup in them. Would definitely go again for the beef noodle bowl!
Three words explain my experience at Monkey King. Pretty Darn Good:)
Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was extremely nice, and walked us through the menu. They were having a mild issue with there computers and our order was delayed. The gentleman who was assisting us offered a complimentary cucumber salad. I thought that was really nice gesture. In short, I give Monkey King, two thumbs up:)

Chef Tim genuinely cares about food quality and his customers. He also provided excellent customer service going above and beyond, showing leadership ability. I tried the soup, stir fry and orange chicken. The food is flavorful and cooks fast with that street food touch. The brisket is so tender, melts in your mouth. The broth has an excellent complex flavor. Beef stir fry has an amazing sauce with noticable umami flavor. Cucumber salad has a mild Kimchi flavor with a light citrus, great palate cleanser. Orange chicken was flavorful, but not very crispy, but that's a personal preference. They do run out of ingredients, which upper management needs to improve. But overall, a good experience.
The music was excellent. The noodles need extra flavor so keep that in mind and grab some duck sauce, soy sauce or siracha. The dumplings were great. And the wontons in chili sauce 🤤
The food was really really good. Super tasty with lots of spices. Good sized portions. Spice level options are 1-10 which really gives a lot of flexibility! Staff was super nice and even pointed us to nearby places to get dessert 👍🏽
Will definitely come back!
