The food was wonderful/ creative and delicious! The atmosphere was splendid: chic, contemporary: yet soothing and inviting! The management attentive and accommodating. And then there was Katy, my server du soir! So knowledgeable about the wine selections! She really should become a sommelier! Her recommendations were spot on for my dinner and wine selections, quite accurate for my palate! Oh, I will certainly be back for more. Did you know they serve breakfast daily, serving lovely baked pastries. Lunch and dinner menus are so inviting!! Sometimes, a girl just needs some good Tuscan red wine, a plate of lasagna and a side of roasted Brussel Sprouts and grapes slithering in a bath of Gorgonzola cheese sauce! Mmmmmm!
So amazing!! The atmosphere is great, our waiter Tyler was so awesome and really knowledgeable and did a great job helping us process the menu! The food is INCREDIBLE!! We had the octopus starter, cauliflower steak salad, burnt honey pizza and the shrimp spaghetti, and finished it all off with the delicious lemon cake and a surprise side of the best espresso gelato I have ever tasted! Can’t wait to go back! Definitely going to be a regular spot for us!
Update: We have been back several times, driving well over an hour and paying a babysitter $20 per hour, so I can get the delicious rigatoni. The waiter last night told us that a new menu is coming in a few weeks. Please for the love of everything don’t get rid of the rigatoni or whipped ricotta. These items have us driving across the great state of Texas and battling the crazy Dallas roads to eat! 💜 Husband loved the chicken dish and now we’re scared it may disappear.
Everyone is friendly, but service was pretty slow, it took a very long time to get refills and check last night.
Also, It was freezing inside the restaurant as well. We sat next to the open window and it was 76 outside and they kept offering to close the window, but it was warmer outside than inside.
Original:We went twice while staying in the Joule hotel. Very delicious. The burnt honey pizza sounds crazy and I’m picky, but I liked it. The Caesar salad is really good. Loved the whipped ricotta. Rigatoni pasta was so flavorful and filling. Husband loved the scallops. The first night we went was a Wednesday and service was a little slow. They were out of several items, but today (Friday night) they had what my husband wanted and service was much more speedy so I’m glad we gave them another try.
Saturday late evening. Not crowded (holiday weekend) good food and service. Great view for people watching. Large portions. Expected pricing for major downtown luxury hotel.
Sasetta was absolutely delicious! We started with the tuna tartare and I had a lovely, colorful, yummy salad. Jessica was our server and was very thoughtful and welcoming. Great job!
Only one thing, I would encourage a gluten free pasta and crust. I went to two other restaurants this week that had those options
I’ve been a few times now and I’ve never been let down. The service is always fantastic, the food is great and they have a nice wine selection. I’ve tried their appetizers, entrees and dessert - their whipped feta appetizer is my new regular it’s so delicious, and you can’t go wrong with their duck bolognese. I’ve even brought my Italian mom here as well and she approved. I think the price is good for what you get. Highly recommend this place 😊
We really enjoyed everything about this place.Justin was an awesome host, friendly and helpful. Cocktails were yummy .My Rigatoni was so tasty.
We came here for a date night when we were in town visiting, and decided to sit at the bar. Even though we weren’t hungry we ended up eating and spending almost 3 hours here. First of all, the service is wonderful. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with the bartenders. We ended up getting the caesar salad to share, two entrees, and a dessert. Also the cocktails and wine we had were all fantastic. One of the best meals I had in a while. I can’t wait to come back.
The restaurant is extremely chic and tastefully decorated. Great vibe. The two servers we had were very efficient and attentive. The food was fantastic, I couldn’t recommend it more. We’d come back here again and again!
What a perfect little spot! It was quiet for my late lunch and the service was PERFECT! 10/10 Glad I came here.
This is a beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere located inside a posh hotel. Staff is very friendly; our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu etc. The pastas were fresh, tasty and portioned nicely. We were disappointed with the pizza. It didn’t meet our expectations. It was very dry and you couldn’t even make out the ingredients. The desserts were good too. So it’s not a 5 star in our opinion, but it’s a pretty good restaurant.
I think Sassetta is a tad to fresh to be judged. I understand that previously it was an amazing place but right now they don't have their feet under them yet. The food I sampled was fine, nothing blew me away, but it was good. The price for most things on the menu was quite affordable, especially considering it's downtown in a hotel. The service was friendly but besides the waitress not fully trained. I know it's only a few weeks in but I think they have some work to do in order to get back to the prime Sassetta.
