Being invited to Roma’s for lunch this past week forced feelings of food-writing-inadequacy upon realizing I’d never heard of Roma’s. This restaurant has been around for years. Every person living in Dallas probably has the menu memorized at Roma’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant. After snooping their website for four minutes, moving on was the right thing to do. It’s impossible to know everything, minus the James Beard Foundation. The only thing the James Beard Foundation does not know is that Almost Veggies deserves an award for award-worthy-champion-food-writing. That’s all.
Ok pizza at an ok price, nothing to jump up and down about.
We just happened to find this restaurant while driving by while visiting from south texas where there are no italian eateries. I truly enjoyed the food. The pizza crust was just right, not too thin or thick and sauce was tasty...great combination. Italian deserts were delicious. Above all the prices are really hard to beat. Would definitely go back.
Excellent pizza, and they delivered all the way to North Dallas!. So, apparently Roma's used to have a location at Forest & Inwood which was just around the corner from where we were last night. We desired pizza, and I was the only one with an iPhone, so I set about trying to find the number for Roma's. After much searching and head scratching, I called the Greenville location to find out that the north Dallas location had shut! Rats! Fortunately, the good man on the phone said they would happily deliver to us. Some of our bunch had dined at Roma's before, but none had ever tried their pizza, so this was to be a bit of an experiment. Plus, I had never even tried Roma's before, so this was really a shot in the dark for me...
To satisfy our curiosities, we ordered two pizzas - a veggie with pepperoni, and a focaccia pizza. We ordered at 7:15 and delivery was promised in 45 minutes - 8pm. But given the distance, we figured it might take an hour. Well, lo and behold, at the stroke of 8 the doorbell rang, the dog went nuts, and we scrambled for money. Our good man had arrived exactly on time, and the pizza was piping hot! A+ for delivery!
So how was the pie? In a word, excellent. The crust was sturdy and not one bit soggy. The toppings on the veggie pizza were plentiful, but not overly sloppy. And the focaccia pizza was a real treat! It consisted of a bare crust topped with rosemary, olive oil, black olives, artichoke hearts, and gorgonzola cheese - and they were not stingy with the toppings! We put a large dent in both pies, and there's no doubt that they will make somebody an excellent breakfast...
It's strange... after years of seeing this place hiding down in a hole on Greenville, I finally had to head to the other side of town to try it. I think it's safe to say that I'll venture over to the HQ and try this place in person next time. Thumbs up!
This place is SO AMAZING! The food was so authentic and amazing. From the pizza, to the pasta! We will definitely come back! my new FAVORITE spot! You won’t regret coming! Jimmy is THE BEST OF THE BEST!
If you aren’t a local you need to visit this place as often as possible while you’re visiting! We have been coming to this restaurant since it’s inception and they have never steered us wrong. Unbelievable food, people and ambiance. Definitely A must when you’re in the mood for Italian.
Very good Italian food. The chicken piccata and chicken Florintini were excellent and they serve complimentary bread. The service was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. All around a nice homey feeling Italian restaurant.
I love this restaurant. My daughter ate their food in like ten minutes and wants more. Please visit! It’s the best. I’m not doing this for no profit neither. It’s great. Just get it a try!

The restaurant is very nice, the best Italian I had here in Dallas. The look from outside was okiesh , but the food is delicious. The tomato basil soup is must try. The house of bread if is with little garlic flavour it will be more tasty. The pasta and pizza is very good the way the texture comes it is nice. Also if you want to drink there is bar counter and sports 🏉 tv on all the time.
First time visit for dinner. Seating was available, and staff was courteous and prompt. The restaurant was clean and neat. Ordered angel hair Pomadoro, fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil, grilled chicken. Delicious and plentiful.
Will return to try more dishes.
Good looks excellent. Almost feels like a place from the early part of the turn of the century with the feeling you get as you walk through the doors, the ambiance, decorations, music background, and the service is excellent. Feels personable and authentic nevertheless. The free Bread is absolutely to die for. Lick your plates…
I had been hungry for spaghetti for several weeks.
I drove over Monday but they were closed. So, I
decided today was the day.
They have a special meal,
pasta, with the diner's
choice of noodles, sauce,
meat, salad & dressing. The meal includes small, delicious rolls. It wasn't
a long wait for my meal &
it was so delicious! I'm so
glad to be there again after
several years. It was not
crowded. The server was
attentive.
Right before I left a man
came in with a large dog. I
was glad he was not there
while I was eating. I don't
think that should be allowed where food is served unless it is a service
dog. That is my only disappointment for my
experience. Thanks, Roma,
for a delightful meal!
Grabbed a quick lunch here. The service and food were great! The lunch ravioli portion was a bit small. But for the price we couldn’t complain. Highly recommend Roma’s if you’re in the area!
Wow this place is hidden gem. Loved the food and calzone pizza 🍕 the portion size is good. Soothing ambience. Very clean and well maintained. Would love to come here again this is my go to place now to eat Italian food. This should be in the list of best places to eat Italian in Dallas.
