El Jimador

We went on a week night for dinner so it was fairly busy. We were seated immediately and served chips and hot salsa (as in the temperature . . . ) It was interesting because I’ve always had salsa that was cold but this was pretty good! My family and I were so hungry we just about finished the two bowls they gave us when . . . Our server brought another two bowls with MORE delicious salsa! Seriously, dinner is off to a great start and we didn’t even dig in, dig in yet haha. We ordered fajitas to share that included beef, shrimp, and chicken. It was wonderfully flavored and cooked to perfection. The shrimp was butterflied and made peeling easier as well as atheistically pleasing. I loved how the protein was seasoned because sometimes at other restaurants, it’s as if they skipped that part because of all the other flavors and ingredients included would make up for it: between the onions, cheese, guacamole, refried beans, etc. means that they didn’t need to. I think that’s the most important part and they did it here! Yum! The service was wonderful! We always had someone checking on us and whatever refills we needed were taken care of in a timely manner. And to top it off, there is an ice cream machine by the door as you leave! The kids and hubby loved it!

The 1 star is not for the food. It's actually for the over charge of items that don't reflect the menu cost. If you've gone in here you see that they look overwhelmed so then it makes you uncomfortable and you just want to get your food and get out of there. However if you question the price as it doesn't match the menu then they make you feel like your the bad guy for asking. Something is brewing in there and it ain't the good Queso. You all over charged us by $10 and thought it wasn't a big deal. Yeah $10 ain't alot but if they are continually doing it on a nightly basis to 50 families then you can see the weakly take on that at $3500 a week. Wow... again CYPRESS ask for an itemized receipt!

We went there Saturday evening they were busier then normal.. I found a hair in my salsa and then when my plate came out there was a twist tie in my rice.. the manager said it was probably from the tortilla package..and even though it was funny.. very strange response and offered nothing. Not sure I will ever go back.
