Retro Dog

We had the Carolina dog and a Chicago dog. Sharing a fry order and a drink brought our total for lunch $15.37. Both dogs were good fries crispy. We liked that we could eat inside even though they have car hops. Dining area was clean and spacious. We’re traveling but if we lived here we’d be regulars.

I've always enjoyed coming here. Food is made fresh, they've got a nice variety, and the milkshake/ice cream options are plentiful. Loaded fries are absolutely the way to go. Good homemade root beer too. As others have stated, it's a little more expensive than similar places but I'll gladly pay for quality.

Wonderful custard! My daughter ordered a cheeseburger kids meal with pickles, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. She ate a few bites and then commented that it was salty, she's 8. 8 year olds don't usually point out something is salty unless it is, I tried it and thought it was pretty salty also. The pickles are chopped like a relish pickle and the lettuce is shredded, combined with the mayo it made for a messy burger. My husband got a burger he thought it was good, so idk. The inside of the restaurant is really fun. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. It was my first time there, and I know we'll be back.

This place has pretty good food. But it is way overpriced. You can park outside and they will bring your food out to you. They screwed up my Chicago dog though, for the price you pay for a hot dog they better not forget any ingredients. Well, they did, I tried to contact them online and their website contact form wouldn't work.

The service was so slow. The girl excused herself three times to go make orders while we tried to order. The retro dogs chili was just like skyline. For me, it tastes like cinnamon. So gross! The bun got so soggy it fell apart and couldn't eat it. The dog was too burnt also. The ranch powder on the fries was also too extreme. Little less would be great.
