Magaronas Cantina

This was my first visit here but it won't be my last. This restaurant is awesome, the staff was very friendly and respectful. The food was great and the service was Great. If you're looking for a good restaurant in cullman, come on over here. I would recommend them to anybody, if I could rate em 10. I would.

This was the first time I've eaten at Margaronas Cantina. I had the street tacos with carnitas. The meal came with rice and charro beans- in little 4 oz plastic containers. The other condiments came in 2 oz plastic containers. I also had a Dos Equis Amber.. only available in a bottle. The meal was warm, but it wasn't hot. The beer was cool but it wasn't really cold. The service was okay, nothing spectacular. As it was Saturday night, I believe they were just a little swamped. I did get out the door for under $25 including tip. I will wait a couple of weeks and then give it another try, but not on a Saturday night.

I read another reviewer’s recommendation and tried the Pollo Vallarta- so good! The menu says steamed veggies but they had also been grilled and seasoned very nicely! The chicken was very tender and perfectly grilled and seasoned. The shrimp was not overcooked and was nice and hot. I like their house made margarita, too- Very light and good. The service is always good and quick. One of my new faves in Cullman!

Food was okay. It used to be way better. Ordered one taco. They brought me the taco plain: no cilantro, onions, or salsa and on flour tortilla. When I asked if it was always given plain waitress said yes. I was informed they only give cilantro, salsa, and onions on a full order of tacos. I was not asked if I wanted flour or corn tortilla. Most restaurants i have gone ask if i want toping and salsa. Ordered 2 order of churros: 1 in carmel flavor and 1 in strawberry filled. Waitress brought both orders and informed that both were carmel because they had run out of strawberry. I sent it back because I wanted strawberry not carmel. Most restaurants inform you when they run out of an item in case you don't want it. Waitress only stopped by once to see if we were okay. After that I had to keep looking for her to place dessert order. I understand if it's packed and waitresses are having to check on several tables. But it was not full today.
