It's important to know that this restaurant has been under new ownership for about a year. So some of those negative reviews are about the previous owner. Since the new ownership, the food is always GREAT.
You might want to take advantage of "Taco Tuesday" where you can get excellent tacos for $1 each. Just keep in mind... because Taco Tuesday is so popular, the restaurant is usually jammed, which means the waitstaff is busy, busy, busy.
And just for the record, in all the times I've eaten there, the only thing I've found in my food is top-notch tasty ingredients (yes, I read the other reviews, and it's amazing what some people will do for a free meal).
My recommendation is.... give the restaurant a try. Once you do, you''ll go back again and again.
Food was flavorful. We could tell the food was prepared by those who enjoy cooking and take pride in their craft/culture. Service was quick starting at the door; from being seated to being served hot food, satisfying our appetite, within reasonable price.

As always Taco Tuesday is our most exciting day, with fresh, handmade $1 tacos available from open to close! In light of that, we understand the volume can create an experience that isn't always representative of our normal standard of attentive service.
