Bonefish Grill

We were greeted by the manager when we walked in and she was NOT friendly. She seemed irritated that we asked to sit outside. It took awhile for the waiter to get to us but he was nice so I overlooked it. What I could not overlook was how tasteless and bland everything was! I got a chef special, Pan seared pompano with a crab sauce, what a waste of fish. It was heavily breaded and you could barely taste the fish. My friend got pasta, BLAND! No flavor whatsoever. We tried to revive what was left of our lunch by ordering the Bonefish trademark dish, bang bang shrimp, but you guessed it, No Bang! After one bite we agreed to send it back. We simply couldn't take another disappointment 😞 The only thing that was made right were the cocktails. I will not be going back to this location.

TLDR: Solid restaurant at the Waugh Chapel shopping center. Great service. And pretty decent food. I’d probably come back if I was in the area and in the mood for seafood. Free bread and pesto (9/10): The bread was warm and the pesto was just amazing. Pesto had amazing flavors and the perfect amount of seasoning. Beef and ginger potstickers (4/10): Found these to be soggy. When I get potstickers, I want something with a crispy crust, but these were soggy, kind of like they were boiled. Not a bad thing, but not my style. I didn’t think there was a lot of flavor from the beef, and the beef also had an odd texture. The texture was more like “liquidy” and wasn’t all beef. Again, this isn’t something I’m used to so I personally didn’t like them too much, and my GF didn’t as well. The sauce on top was good, but overall salty. Corn chowder and crab soup (8/10): This was worth the money, in my opinion. Thick flavor, and a light corn taste. It was delicious. Blackened salmon pasta (6/10: Salmon was cooked to perfection. There was this perfect crust, but also on the inside it was moist and delicious. I found the cheese to overpower the whine wine sauce. I really didn’t like that. I found the cheese to be actually way too strong. I think they might’ve put too much cheese, especially on the artichokes. My spinach was all over the place, since some had no taste, and others were overpowered with garlic. I enjoyed the capers though, and found them to have a nice touch to the meal. Came in around 3pm with no wait, and not many tables filled. the service was great and the waiters were quick to fill my water. But, the bathroom was dirty and the stall doors were nearly impossible to close. I had to strong arm them to actually get them to lock. Disappointing

Being one of the first tables there it took an hour to get food. Tables sat after us got food before us and being a chef I called them out as the prosciutto on my pork was actually bacon. Then was brought a quarter full souffle cup of chopped prosciutto when I originally ordered extra barely covered half my chop. Would think sliced would be more presentable on this dish. Waitress was also bartender so we barley saw her but she was Sweet. Happy birthday to my wife she wanted brunch that wasn't served anymore
