Nautilus Diner

When we were seated, the waitress took 10 minutes to come over to us after awkwardly looking at my wife and I and walking off. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out (French toast, 1 egg, 4 pieces of bacon and biscuits with sausage gravy). The French toast wasn’t French toast, it was 3 pieces of bread. The 1 egg was extremely under cooked. Biscuits and gravy had no flavor, just mush from a can. The small bowl of fruit was given to us for free and had a fly in it. The whole diner was disgustingly dirty. Lastly, when the waitress did come, she was incredibly rude for no reason. Ive worked in the food and drink industry, so I have an understanding of how stressful it is but temperaments should never come out on the customer. We will never be eating here again.

The first thing that caught my attention was the dessert bar... It was so many options. The menu is overwhelming!... Its soooo much to choose from. They also have a bar which i didn't notice when i walked in because i was so focused on the desserts..lol we didn't get much because we had an emergency so we got something to go. I had ordered the chicken nachos.. I wasn't too impressed by them... With them being corn chips when i reheated in the oven they were mushy like.. Which i ended up not eating. Hubby like his food though. Said he got full just off the MD crab soup.

I liked the service and the decor. Food was good too. They close at 10 pm but for some reason people started showing up after 9:30. At least 6 groups showed up, the last at 9:45. Event though the kitchen was technically closed they still sat and served everyone. This is after two large parties of about 10 people each showed up after 9pm. I ate at IHOP a couple of days before and I have to say the pancakes and sausages here were much much better. Chillie was delicious.

Okay food, bad service The crumb cake, apple filling topped pancakes are very tasty. Well worth the price. The service was not good at all. We were sat at a dirty table. It took almost 10 minutes to be greeted by our server. Our food came out quickly but our server never came back to check on us. He checked on all the tables around us, but not us. We never got drink refills, he didn't ask how our food was, and we had to wave him down twice to get the check. Overall, I will not come back here. I'd rather go to a chain diner.

The menu has a very wide array of food items for any mealtime or budget. My husband and I got two different chicken sandwiches on ciabatta rolls. Both were delicious. The French fries were cooked perfectly and the coleslaw was cold and tasty. We also took home a slice of coconut cake and baklava. Service was excellent and the environment was relaxing and clean. We will be returning.

Management had zero enthusiasm or a smile. Onion rings on the burger were stale and cold (like 30 plus min cold) and burger was just a burger. Pasta was a microwaved dish. Kind of congealed . Never asked how the food was. Never got refills for anyone. Every time we were trying to ask a question she walked away. Had to physically get up to find waitress for dessert. (Desserts super sweet and obviously freezer cakes) . Paid up front and management never asked how dinner was. I can see why it was so slow. Definitely no reason to come back. Outside looks cool though.
