Seafood Shack

We had dinner dockside at the reatuarant due to Covid. Beautiful evening and 55 degrees. We ordered fish and chips and found the beer batter to be just right. The fries are excellent and came in an ample serving. We found our second fish and chips dockside reatuarant with a great view. Mike, our server was very friendly and provided excellent service. Very pleasing indeed.

The food is always amazing here. Fantastic drink specials, and daily specials, and outstanding service. I ordered the smoked fish dip appetizer as my meal, and requested no crackers, and explained to our wonderful server that I am unable to eat them. Instead of just getting the dip, it was accompanied by veggies that I absolutely COULD have! It was such a thoughtful and wonderful surprise. If you want absolutely delicious food and amazing service without the ungodly high prices, then you should definitely come here!

The Seafood Shack is right on the bay by the bridge to Anna Maria island in Cortez Florida. Cortez is/was a fishing village so it makes sense they get fresh seafood. This place is very nostalgic for me, as I have been coming here since I got my first boat and pulled up to the dock for lunch. It is a very big place and can accommodate lots of folks. I usually come for lunch, and stick to fish or shrimp. I always leave satisfied.

We stopped by for an early dinner, were seated quickly and had two of their drink specials. The rum punch was fruity and delicious and only $5! The kids meals were huge, mine couldn't finish it all! My husband had the fish tacos that were stuffed full of blackened fish! My fish and chips were huge and delicious as well. Lacey was our waitress and she dis an outstanding job. We recommend this place and will be back ourselves!

Beautiful location and incredible food. Prices are reasonable for mostly local-caught seafood products. I got the fish and chips and the fish was wild caught, local cod fish. I've had many fish and chips from as many different restaurants locally and this is the only one that served me filets that didn't look as though they were cut into fish-bars of the same/similar sizes and shapes. I got all irregular shapes but all similarly breaded and fried pieces that had a wonderful cod-fish flavor. The fries were obviously freshly cut and breaded and fried. Very much worth the time, effort and money that was spent on it all. Along with the great food, this marina is home to a few different charter boat companies, offering quite a few different types of cruises. I fully intend on trying out a couple of these at some point as well. Just not this time. The day was already a long one at that point. Give them a shot... You won't be sorry!!!
