🥓🍳 Breakfast Clayton's coffee shop ☕️ This is quaint dining restaurant... Fan favorite of Locals and tourist alike I had the Omelette and with steak and pepper jack cheese. Wife had eggs over easy with bacon 🥓 and 🥑 avocado. My omelette would have been perfect other than the grease inside the omelette from the steak. If it could have been drained of the excess grease it would have been on point. Waitress was attentive and polite. The a atmosphere was inviting and home feeling. We will be back when we come back to Coronado again.

Found this place randomly and decided to visit before we hit the road back to LA. Let me just say as someone who LOVES breakfast, this is one of the best breakfasts I've had in my life! Anything you order will be delicious. The hash browns we're so crispy and the house made spicy sausage was amazing! The pancake was so fluffy and the cold brew was delicious. I love this place!

Stumbled upon this quaint breakfast spot and we were blown away. This little diner on North Island has a lot to offer. Fresh bakery items, specialty coffee drinks, tea, breakfast and lunch served all day! They have a nice selection of specialty drinks I recommend the dirty chai. The tea selection is great too. Vegetation options and vegan options.

This little diner is super cute. Its the perfect breakfast spot after walking along the beach. Their portions and prices are a great deal. Kids loved it here and ate all their food. The latte was everything I ever wanted. The cute swirl affect was amazing. Food was delicious and their fried pickles the best!!! Definitely recommend it here.

We have been visiting Claytons since I was younger every time we come in town. Its always head a special place in my heart, the retro diner atmosphere, friendly upbeat staff, and delicious homey food. Once again, our expectations were exceeded with a wonderful experience. Our hostess Cecilia was extremely nice and attentive. My mother who is handicapped was gracefully helped being sat. Just an absolute delightful & delicious place for your morning breakfast. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I am saddened to have to share such a heartbreaking experience here. I want to start by saying that the food was delicious, and our server (Angel) was absolutely wonderful, but how I was treated by the hostess Sunday at around 10am Sunday 6/26/2022, was disrespectful, and left me feeling discriminated against due to my race. The hostess only greeted and made eye contact with my white husband even though we both were standing there. We gave a name and waited. For a moment I thought she'd called us, and while my husband had stepped away I chose to approach her myself to double check the list, at which time she made it a point to not make eye contact with me, lower her voice in an annoyed fashion while answering my question and sent me on my way. Minutes later were called up, she made only eye contact with my husband again, we were seated by someone else, and we very much so enjoyed our meal. When leaving I attempted to say thank you and goodbye to her, at which she AGAIN ignored me, but said goodbye and smiled at my husband who walked behind me to the exit. I did not get her name because I was lost in my own head about the ideas of being mistreated no matter how nice I was. But she had Short bob-like brown hair, and blue eyes, approximately 5'7". For being the face of this establishment that morning she most definitely did NOT make me feel welcome. Minus this encounter I would give this place 5 stars, but if this type of behavior is accepted, we will be saddened but take our business elsewhere. We visit Coronado almost every other weekend. I would like to think that perhaps she was overwhelmed, but I also hope your staff is well educated on the importance of being kind and welcoming of everyone. Overall, we love this place. *2 week update* We returned 7/10/22, around 10am. We were greeted by a different hostess who once again only made eye contact with my husband, but I’m not sure she knew we were together at first. Our server was Hope, and she was very kind, friendly, and attentive. I’m very happy she took the time to acknowledge the both of us and made sure our experience was a delight. We both ordered things other than our regulars that were enjoyable. The hostess I’d originally had the issue with was working, and after seeing her again in a different working position, I am going to assume on my own that her initial behavior wasn’t intentional, but perhaps coincidental. With all of this, I’ve decided to raise the star status from 1 to 4. We hope to continue to enjoys this place for weekends to come.
