Katz's Deli

If I was basing my review just on food and service I'd leave 4 stars. Our food was pretty good our waitress did a decent job. Though Food is a bit overpriced. BUT as we were sitting at our table after our meal yesterday I saw a man in the kitchen digging up in his nose knuckle deep several times and he removed his hat and was combing his fingers through his hair right by the counter. I was completely disgusted and it makes me want to vomit now just thinking about that man touching my food. It was approximately 2:50 p.m. when It happened. I don't know if your establishment has cameras on the kitchen but if you do you need to watch the video from that time and fire whomever was doing that. Absolutely disgusting.

Katz's is open 24/7, which is awesome for late night orders when you're wanting something besides fast food. This is a frequent uber-eats pickup at 3am for us. Sandwiches are great, authentic, New-York style delicatessen, of course. The menu has some unique offerings as well. I will deduct one star for their pricing though. It's hard to justify a $20 sandwich, but we pay it for the convenience factor on nights-in and having drinks, not wanting to drive anywhere.

1st time experience... Was glad they were open & ordered take-out around 1:15am. Its in a great location, has adequate parking,, restaurant clean & staff quiet but friendly. Menu looks & sounds great, excellent selection of plates to choose from. Had planned for dessert only but decided to try the *Klassic French Dip* ($17.99) along with the *Brownie Boat* ($10.99) totaling $32... the French bread was outstanding but the roast beef was not, au'jus was good but that's all that comes w/ it. The Brownie was not warm nor unique in any way, tasted like box brownies but the fudge & trimmings (I asked for caramel too) was delightful. I would love to have tried the cream soda & strawberry lemonade but I'll do that if I return for dining in. I won't repeat the take-out regardless of the well packaged dessert.

This place is basically an upscale Denny’s. I read a few recent reviews regarding service and those few were accurate. I was the only customer in the restaurant for 10 minutes and did not get a server at my table for 19 minutes and this was after I informed the host I needed a server. My order Chicken and waffles 3/10 The chicken had no flavor/no seasoning just a price of thick chicken battered and fried The crispiness was great but no flavor Again the waffles didn’t have any flavor. 3/10Definitely needed the syrup or powdered sugar Potato pancake 7/10 Basically a hash brown. I would have preferred it a little more crispy but this was the best part of the meal Service 2/10

Food was ready but was left sitting on counter waiting to be brought to our table. The potato skins that cost$12.50 where cooled off and cheese had gotten dried with no chives. When we asked for chives the waiter went to kitchen and came back and told us they where out of chives..maybe thats something they should of told us when we placed our order. And he Philly cheese steak really didn't have any taste to ....first time here and will probably be our last since food was so bad..
