The service and food is great. We have been long time customers, going back many years to when there was a "sister Barney's" in Antioch. The ribs are the same, original brown sauce is still available and delicious. I usually get the chef salad with BBQ turkey and ham on it. My wife gets the BBQ combo -- chicken and ribs, and will share a rib or two with me.

Food and service was excellent I recommend ordering anything I do not think you will be disappointed I like the Red barbecue sauce better than the other one I think it's the best

1/2 order Smoked pork ribs were tender, juicy, warm and delicious. Came with two sauces, brown and BBQ red. Not my favorite, I prefer sweeter. Took a few minutes to get ribs after ordering them. Simple padded seating, plenty of tables. Came about 530, lots of regulars came in after I did, staff knew many of them and what they wanted. Plenty of sides and choices on menu. Many people came in for take out. This place has been here a long time with great reputation.
I have been eating Barney's ribs for 40+ years. I absolutely love the brown gravy they put on the ribs. I get bbq sauce everywhere else but the brown sauce at Barney's is to die for. We actually order fries just so we can "squeegee" the extra sauce off the plate! It has changed ownership a few times over the years but the brown sauce recipe stays the same. I hope they are around for another 40 years.
