Puesto

Absolutely lovely experience. Great atmosphere, professional courteous service, and, most importantly, amazing food. The serving size may seem small for the price, however, my family and I left the place feeling satisfied with 2-3 tacos with chips and salsa. The meats/seafood were so juicy, tender, and well cooked. Tacos overall were full of flavor, each ingredient making itself known. Would definitely go here again.

Tasty, but… I’ve been here a few times now and the jury is still out. The food is good, some better than others (the carnitas are a stand-out choice of protein for me). Fish = ho hum. It’s a simple menu, which is nice. The service is fine. The pricing is what gets me. $8-$10 for a single taco. It’s a bit much for what you get. Maybe worth $5-$6 per taco. Three tacos is about right to fill you up, but that also means $30 for 3 tacos… The other food options include a plate (rice/beans/protein). You can buy shells for a couple extra bucks. It’s still $20-$26 for a plate. Now that I think about it, I would go back for carnitas, but that’s probably about it.

First visit was mixed bag. 30 min wait for 4 inspite of a reservation. Outdoor seating was comfortable and adequate heating. Server was friendly. Table did not have silverware. Drinks was inordinately delayed and arrived after appetizers. Saving grace was food. Tacos were flavorful and dessert was pretty and lovely. Ordered both vegetarian tacos. Lamb filet minion and baja fish. Spicy margarita was indeed spicy. Cadillac Strawberry and passion fruit was good. Will revisit for a better experience.

I've eaten at the Puesto restaurant in San Diego multiple times. My experiences there have always been great. Because I was in the Concord area, I decided to try this Puesto restaurant. When you walk inside you see a big, open, welcoming restaurant. The SD restaurant has a more casual vibe, but I was not disappointed. On this day I tried the herb lime rice, filet mignon and short rib quesabirria tacos. Again, the food was amazing! There is a uniqueness in the flavor combinations that differentiate each taco. Just when you've found your favorite taco, the next one is equally delicious. I've tried almost every taco offered and have never missed the mark. Besides the delicious food, the staff at Puesto are very caring, welcoming, and attentive. They are highly visible, and quick to accommodate any special requests. I will be in SD again next week, so Puesto will again be one of my stops. I look forward to my next experience at Puesto.

Slightly overpriced and that’s due to the location, however the entries are small as well. Food was delicious though with the great view over the Veranda fountains on heated outside seating. Would highly recommend to try at citrus ceviche topped with few tacos. Guac was below average though. Very polite service however no recommendations whatsoever. Everything is GOOOOD and no specifics! Enough, not - who knows. Nice design inside and quality outside seating area. Worth once giving a shot to this place to complete you experience bucket.
