Columbus Cupcakery

Very cute shop! The price for 4 cupcakes totaled to $13. I ordered a "death by chocolate, 2 red velvet, and vanilla" the cakes were pretty moist and fresh! The reason I came in was to satisfy a huge red velvet craving, the red velvet in my opinion was ok. It looked more chocolaty and tasted heavy on the chocolate side. The other cakes were nice, the vanilla had a strong butter taste in my opinion. I am a baked good enthusiasts and have tasted the greats like Carousel cakes and The Amish market at Columbus, these cakes are nice. The mousse/frosting was also very airy and quickly melted, I personally enjoy the cream cheese thicker frosting. Not my favorite red velvet but overall good experience .

I am so disappointed. The Cupcakery has provided desserts for my wedding, baby shower, and multiple family holidays. I saw the Facebook post where they were doing first come first serve for Thanksgiving on Tuesday and Wednesday. I was at the shop 11AM sharp to beat the rush, however I was the only one in the store. I was told the icing was not ready and to come back in an hour. I was also told I could place an order for noon. I’m not unreasonable so I had no problem until I was told that I could not have a dozen apple cupcakes because “that would not be fair to the other customers.” The most she could do was six. This was first come first serve and I was the only one on the store. Thank you for the six apple cupcakes but we won’t be back. Currently looking for a new cupcake vendor for our Christmas who won’t be put out making a dozen. I don’t think they understand the definition of first come first serve. If there’s a limit please post this on the Facebook app to save time.

I’m new to the area and I'm often in search of some community staples. I picked up a batch of 8 cupcakes for my son’s birthday and I was impressed with the quality and taste. I’m hard to please when it comes to baked items because often times bakeries tend to lose the homemade taste, but Cupcakes did a pretty good job. Upon walking in, I knew I was in a good hands due to the stacks of butter in the fridge. Butter in a bakery is always a good thing (real bakers will understand what I mean😉.) I chose several flavors such as lemon cheesecake, oreo, churro, etc. Though I did love the flavors and would visit again, I was a bit taken back by the price tag. It was $29 for 8 cupcakes and $39 for 12. I was lucky I only needed a few, but I could see the tab being overwhelming for a party that required 50 or so cupcakes. This is just my opinion of course, but I noticed the business could have invested a tad bit more in how they present and package the cupcakes. For example: provide them in a cute paper bag with their logo or provide a small standard index card with the list of flavors. It would make more sense, to me, for the price tag and it would make for better advertisement. I couldn’t advertise where the cupcakes were from because there was nothing to tie the cupcakes back to the business.

I was so disappointed I stopped in yesterday and got 2 chocolate chip parfaits I think that is what you would call them. It was 14.50 for 2 of them. I waited for them to become at room temperature before I gave to my daughter. They did look good. The icing was like eating wax. The cake /cookie part had no taste at all hardly. My daughter is handicapped and loves her cakes and cup cakes . She tried hard to eat it and only ate 5 bites or so before saying it was terrible. I had to agree. This was a big waste of money and time . I can say the girl working there was nice and the place was clean. Thank you Laurie

I drove all the way from across town to Buy these cupcakes because they are really delicious. The cashier was extremely rude and basically rushed me to pick out my cupcakes, it was such a turn off. I don’t think that I’m going to be returning. She was a thin women, look like she is Spanish. Anyway customer service is so important!! Last time I went, the owner helped me she was very nice.

I had the pleasure of sampling a couple cupcake flavors and honestly wish I could work my way through every single flavor. The cupcakes are AMAZING. The cake is moist, filling in each one, and the icing is to die for!!! I was recently blessed to have a custom cake made for my birthday. It was a cake that my mother has made for my birthday as long as I can remember. This year Crystal took on the task and NAILED IT!!! The cake was AMAZING and the icing even BETTER!!! Not too sweet...just perfect!!! I can’t thank thank you enough.
