The Old Rock

Very nice bar with warm decorations on the walls and wood work. The bartender was super friendly and drinks refreshing 😉 ... the owner, Cheryl, was absolutely delightful to speak with and aspires to provide the best service possible, it really was a pleasure speaking with her. I didn't try the food, time restraint, but she guarantees it's some of the best around. It's worth a stop if you're in the vicinity. UPDATE: Made another visit on Sunday, 3 days later. The service was excellent and food (brunch) was absolutely delicious and portions enough for two!!! I recommend you visiting The Old Rock, a gem in my opinion.

Not a very welcoming place for people like me. We drove 30 minutes to get there - my friends and I wanted to enjoy some live music and food. We arrived to find 2 large confederate flags prominently displayed on the restaurant's property facing the main highway. The flags were not on someone's vehicle that was just visiting - they were displayed as part of the set up on the property. We turned around and left, not wanting to give our money to an establishment that so proudly honors the ideas and attitudes those flags represent. I think the Old Rock should post that flag on their website so people will know what kind of a place it is before driving all the way out there, similar to how a lot of businesses post inclusive "all are welcome here" types of messaging or various flags on their websites.
