Husker Steak House

Oh my gosh! Food, fantastic! And plenty of it! Serving size, huge! Service, outstanding! We went on a Thursday night, arriving at about 6:15. Immediately seated, drinks arrived promptly, ordered the appetizer platter with bacon-wrapped beef tips and fried mushrooms and shrimp. Just the right size for the two of us. Side salads with fresh lettuce, carrots, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes were delish. All their dressings are homemade, except Dorothy Lynch which I had. My bride raved about the ranch. Main course arrived promptly. We both had ordered the country fried steak, and when it arrived the steaks were so big we asked the server to box one up and we split the other. Even between the two of us, we struggled to complete it. If you are in, or near, Columbus, this is the place to eat. We WILL be back!!

Wow! The food is good!!! Grandma ordered walleye, she’s 91 years old, don’t usually eat very much. She finished her fish! That tells me how good it is! I ordered medium rare prime rib, the meat is delicious, the Au Jus is to die for. I ordered an 18oz so that I have leftover. I could’ve finished it but I didn’t want my family to wait for me. Our waitress Brandy is so thoughtful — she gave me some Au jus to go! I really appreciate it! Hubby ordered chicken fried steak, he said it’s the real deal— cooked from scratch and really good. The only thing he wish is country style gravy instead of brown gravy. MIL loved her salmon too. Thank you Husker House chefs and employees, it was a great experience!

This was so great, some of the best service we have had in a long time. Prime rib was delicious. We are planning on going back. Yes it is kinda set up odd. The desk is literally at the front door. But it is called Husker house because it was an originally a house, it's Been around since 1950 for good reason.

The staff is friendly and competent. Once you get your order in the food comes quickly. Their steaks are delicious and always cooked perfectly to your liking. They have a large selection of cocktails and know how to make them right. It's just a good old fashioned steak house with good service, reasonable prices & delicious food.
