Lunch was amazing- pot stickers, soup, Panang curry, and Rama platter! Wow! Always love Gon’s cooking!
During my Military service, I was stationed in Thailand. Ms Gon brings you the best that I've tasted in Thai food, she has the experience for bringing out the true customary flavors and serves it up very well. Mr Scott is a world traveler Chef and his experience coupled with his wife's home recipes are UNBEATABLE!!!
One of my favorite places. I heard it might close and hoping that’s just a rumor. All the food is authentic and tasty. Yummmy! My fav there is the panang curry.
Green curry is spicy but excellent. Service is superb. You'll be happy with this choice.
SO good. Really exceeded my expectations! wife had curry and I got the cellophane noodle dish and both were amazing. servers super nice too. don't skip the mango sticky rice either.
Wonderful!. The food and service were fantastic! They have a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and a lovely patio. I had some of the Thai Tea and found it to be far superior than the standard sweet tea one usually gets in the south.
Well worth a visit!
Kristy. Quite possibly the best Red Curry I ever had!! It had just the right amount of heat and they used REAL Coconut Milk, it really made a difference. It was phenomenal!!!! The Pad Thai is wonderful. The noodles were done perfectly and the flavor was sweet with a hint of heat. It is really hard to find a good Thai restaurant, most are mediocre. This is one of the few amazing Thai restaurants. No others in the area even come close. I highly recommend them. If you never had Thai before and feel like being adventurous, give it a try. I doubt you will be disappointed. :) They also have live music once in a while on weekend nights.
My name is Scott Carley, my wife Kannika Carley, along with Supannee Stamm have purchased this restaurant recently. I invite you you to please take a look at our menu on Facebook @ www.facebook.com/ThaiByThaiColumbus. We look forward to serving you.
This place has some the best Thai food I. The Golden Triangle. Their sushi is on point as well and the chefs know what they're doing. The restaurant was clean, staff was spot on tonight and the food was reasonably priced. We'll absolutely rerun.
The name is deceiving... They don't ACTUALLY have sushi any more. We went there specifically for sushi, and got a little surprise! The Thai food was tasty though, so a good choice if that's what you're looking for.
The food was fantastic. They are figuring out the menu, but the staff were very friendly! Plus, they get many ingredients locally! Please go, I want to be able to continue eating here for as long as we are here!
Worth a visit. Sushi is a bit high priced and the printed menu is a mess, but the food is WONDERFUL. Best Thai in town, by far. Probably the best sushi, too. It's still new and the service has lots of kinks, but be patient, I'm sure it will get better. The owners seem very nice and accomodating; I wish them much success.
Great atmosphere great service food was delicious just a hidden gem would recommend and next time we’re in Columbus will dine again
Food: Ordered the seafood garlic and pepper entree. Everything was seasoned and sauteed to perfection. The sauce had a very light consistency which made great for pouring over the rice. Served with dec
Environment: Nice atmosphere and good crowd of patrons. Was an open mic night so no live music unfortunately.
Customer service: very personable servers who made consistent check on our needs while eating.
Conclusion: Awesome venue, music and excellent food. It's a great international vibe right within a local city.
Nice Thai restaurant in the downtown area. The interior is nice, the server ladies are sweet and friendly. The restroom is pretty mediocre though. In the food, we took the potstickers as a starter snack, which was good. In the main entree, I ordered a ground chicken meat, stir fried with basil. It was also tasty. I ordered them like ‘hot’! And that was pretty hot and spicy for me ( me being a girl of Indian origin). So usually do not ask for the ‘hot’, unless you eat really hot and spicy.
The atmosphere is fantastic. The decor is brilliant. The staff is friendly. A bit slow, but I think that was because of unusual circumstances. The curry is too sweet in my opinion. The chicken fried rice was dank tonight.
Service was awesome! She was super friendly and knew her stuff and kept my glass full.
The tom yum was ok, not the best I've had, not the worst. I'm a semi spicy person, but at med, the spice was too overwhelming...it killed any of the other flavors of the soup
My entrée was drunken noodles. Same issue....but worse, it had an overwhelming burnt flavor taste.
Ingredients were fresh. Spices were thai. Just start low, add later. They need to exploit more of the fresh taste , less of the exotic
Dessert was awesome. Fried oreos. Would recommend and go back
My wife and I love coming here over the past few years. Great food and fun atmosphere. Most recently had the Jungle Curry and it was great, spicy, but not too much so. Plenty of great options for everyone.
Gon Thai shows up 9/10 times! Really good curry and spring rolls. My only critiques are that the lemon grass is minced in the curry instead of chucked in there for easy removal later. And one time (out of the dozens of times I've been) the Thai Tea was VERY watered down. That particular visit was very disappointing, because they usually have the BEST Thai Tea.
Great food, perfect amount of spice, great service and prices.
