Mcalister's Deli

This was our first visit. Our Salads were tasty, with plenty to eat. Service on the other hand was lacking. The motto is "Expect more" The website boasts their tea and says "Once you're here, relax and let us handle the rest." I was a bit disappointed when no one came to refill my tea, especially when they requested a tip at the register when I ordered. Leave a tip, but get less service.

Great place for lunch! My daughter and I both had the combo sandwich/salad. Excellent and good food for the price. It did take a bit to get our take out but like everywhere else I assume they were short staffed. The manager kept apologizing which was nice but completely understood it. Would highly recommend!

The place feels like a mix between a fast food joint and a restaurant. You order your meal at the register and you get a number. You get your drinks and go find a seat. The number helps the employees bring the food to the proper place. It's a similar system to what McDonald's has when you order from the machines. The difference between McDonald's and McAllister however, is that you can tip the waiter here. The "world famous" sweet tea, is alright. But i am not a fan of sweet tea to begin with. The sandwiches were also pretty good. Nothing too memorable about them. But these are just my humble opinions. The carrot cake however, is absolutely DIVINE and that is a proper FACT, not opinion. I am not a fan of nuts, but this cake has them and i didn't even taste them. They seemed to be there more for texture than flavor and it worked really well. Overall, my feelings about this place is mixed. Everything about this place is alright, except their carrot cake. Definitely a place worth visiting at least once.

The food is great. I order just about everyday but if I’m paying for a BOWL of soup I expect a bowl. STOP putting CUP quantity in my BOWL PURCHASE! Haven’t even been getting half of bowl. What’s the point! As a matter of fact I will just start opening my preorder food right on the counter and check before I leave.

Took 50 minutes to receive our food, and the food was just okay. They were out of several menu items, some of which we weren’t made aware of until they brought the food out. Seemed to be lacking leadership in the store. Only gave 3 stars because our visit a month ago was fine - otherwise would have been a 1 star based off todays visit. Maybe today was just an off day.
