City Egg

This is an interesting concept. You order your food on a touchscreen at the entrance and pick up your order from a counter. No wait staff. Bottom line is that the food is good and it was prepared quickly. I enjoyed the meal. There were two minor downsides which was why I give it four stars instead of five. First, I went with a party of eight; four adults, two teens, two in grade school. Ordering for all eight of us on the touchscreen was a chore. Second, no refills on coffee, which is pretty standard in a breakfast place. I think this concept works best for smaller groups but it was a good breakfast.

We walk into this nice little spot not knowing what to expect. Everything was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. We ordered our food on the Ipads provided and customized what we wanted. Once we finished, we paid the lady and waited. There was a separate station for drinks and food. Our drinks were ready super quick and we found our table to seat ourselves. Our food came shortly after and was steaming hot and abundant. We got silverware as well as other condiments we needed. The major plus, they had Frank's Red Hot sauce and we really enjoyed our meal. It was very filling and we will definitely be back.

A quiet breakfast on a Sunday morning at City Egg is something that can't be beat. The restaurant is bright, open, and very clean. If you are lucky enough to be there on a day when the windows are opened to let a breeze in, it is a nice touch. You are greeted with a touch-screen only ordering process and payment, and your order comes out via two service areas - one for drinks and the other for food. There is varied seating inside (booth, tables, high-top) and a few tables outside. We ordered the Jumpstart and South of the Border, both with modifications and it was done absolutely correctly. The black coffee was good as was the cappuccino, but a word of caution that the "small" is about 20 ounces.

If you are going near Bethel, I would recommend City Egg for breakfast. The service was great as well. I got the Awesome Avocado with egg whites, no bell peppers and added tomato. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and I was given a generous amount of avocado. The salsa tasted cheap but still tasted good with the rest of the dish. Overall, this is a place worth visiting.
