Buena Vista Mexican Restaurant

Very good restaurant. I'd rate a 4.5 out of 5 stars just because it's not the greatest ever restaurant as far as taste but it is damned good and one of the best and I keep coming back so if I had to choose between a 4 or a 5 out of 5 I'll choose the 5 stars. I hear they used to have a buffet which would be amazing if they brought that back. I'd come in a lot more probably multiple times a week if they had that. Everything is great except on occasion something doesn't taste as fresh as it should be, usually the salsa but it's hardly noticeable, but still noticeable enough if you come here often and sometimes taste a difference, otherwise you wouldn't know. But other than that their flan is amazing. It's very unique and is worth trying. Also their other food is good too and the salsa when fresh (which it more than 90% of the time) is among the best tasting in Columbus!

I wish I could give zero stars. This place use to be outstanding, nevertheless I was there 2 days ago, the prices have gone up by 3 to 5 dollars and the serving sizes are very small and the meat in my husband burrito it smelled like dog food from a can. The chips taste like they have been friend with old oil, not frwsh at all. The shell of our taco salad was not even half way full and it was more lettuce than anything. My chicken soup was a small serving size bowl and it tasted like they just boiled the water with canned veggies and added a few pieces of chicken. I am Mexican myself and believe me when I tell you that if the quality was the same than before maybe we wouldn't have minded the small serving sizes. They really downgraded their quality and the prices are way high forvthecfood they offer. We will not be back at all. This place has become a shame to even imitation if Mexican food.
