Neighborhood Gem. Great neighborhood restaurant! We love the pizza and subs. My favorite is the Super Sub. It's nice to have a close place to walk or bike to with the family. They don't have a huge beer selection but it's still nice to have the option especially when the patio is open. I highly recommend to give this place a try. Good food and excellent service!

Great Place!. Took my family to Smith's on a Saturday night and found a great little place that we will definitely be returning to. Pizza was good, my kids enjoyed their subs, and the pasta was excellent. Highly recommended!
Anti Pasta Salad for lunch. I had the Anti Pasta Salad and just loved it. Fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Lots of cheese and meat. Great salad that hit the spot. Will definitely do that again sometime soon.
Great Family-Owned Place. The family owners are some of the nicest folks around and actually remember me when I come in; which is about 1-2 times every other month! I am not a fan of the pizza, which is their specialty; however, I do like the subs and salads. I will keep coming back since I always get great service.
Great Food, Great People. Smith's is my favorite Clintonville restaurant. The food is amazing, and the friendly, family atmosphere is hard to top. I highly recommend the pizza!
First time at Smiths. I was at Smiths this past weekend for the first time with my family. We went for lunch and the food was great. I got the half a sandwich, soup and drink combo it was awesome. I got half a club on rye toast and the tomato bisque soup was tasty and free refills on the drink was nice. The atmosphere is awesome and the service was great , the staff was friendly even when the place was packed. It was nice to be able to watch the Ohio State basketball game on the big t.v.
Great Food - Family Atmosphere. I've been going to Smith's for years and I will keep coming back because of their amazing food and welcoming employees. My personal favorite is the roman sub with hot peppers, but I love to get the pizza when I'm there with friends. My wife is a huge fan of the egg salad croissants. It's hard to go wrong no matter what you order.
Love it!. No matter what I'm in the mood for, I can always find something at Smith's. One of my recent favorites is a hot grilled cheese sandwich and tomato-bisque soup. I also love the pizza and deli sandwiches on a croissant! You can't go wrong with this place.
So many delish options to choose from with great prices. I can’t remember the last time the two of us were able to order this much food and keep the cost under $30. Big fan of the atmosphere and never changing aesthetics. A treasure for Clintonville.

Small mom and pop style restaurant. Staff were friendly, food came out fresh and hot. The sauce was so good you can tell it was homemade and not out of a can. Prices for portions and quality of food is more than fair. It’s simple and good!
I began to work in the neighborhood not long ago and have stopped by this restaurant a few times to take out subs for lunch. The subs I have had, including Super Smith Sub and Chicken Parmesan, were so good! The prices were very reasonable with the portion of food! Mostly, the staff were friendly. They made me feel like home!
I am grateful this restaurant is only minutes away from where I work. I will definitely keep visiting this restaurant and trying out their other subs and dishes! Highly recommended!
Heard it’s much loved by locals and went to try it out on a visit. Wide variety of options and love that it’s been family owned for decades and I’m sure will continue unlike many changing places in the area. But food is GREAT too. There is a fun old time atmosphere featuring a local “Clintonville” newspaper which was cool to take a copy of. They also have fun semi-specialty drinks (ex: I’m obsessed with Stewart’s root beer so it was a win). We tried different sandwiches and everyone was happy with their meals!

Wish there was more veggies on it instead of just lettuce. Overall, good meal option.
The best reuben I have had in a long time! The bread was crunchy, the ingredients were so tasty. I got a side of coleslaw and it was so good. Great little place! Will definitely stop again the next time I am in the area!
You know when you walk into a place and see local residents - especially an older crowd - packing the place that the food is good (probably great), the prices are reasonable, and there's a lot of loyalty earned by the establishment. All of that is right here at Smith's. And the food is great, not just good, great! If you want to be pleased with a local joint that earns every bit of the respect it's gathered, head to Smith's and pull up to an old diner table edged in chrome. You might want to loosen your belt and stay awhile.
I cut grass around this area and I've seen people leaving in an out of this joint constantly and now I see why. Me an my wife ordered a pizza and a salad and within 15 minutes we had our order. The pizza was amazing and made perfect to expectations. I definitely love the ingredient choices and how well it is served. Definitely check this place out especially if your on a date.

Love this place. It is owned by a local family and has wonderful food and service for a very low price. They have a great selection of specialty sodas and beers too!
I ordered the Greek Salad and it was delicious. My hubby ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich and it was so good that I stole 1/3 of it so he ordered a Super Smith sub. It was equally as delicious. (Yep. I stole a bit of it as well.) The sun rolls are the perfect mix of soft outside and slightly crunchy outside. Don't miss this small unassuming spot! It's FANTASTIC and reasonably priced.
