Subway

Walked in to redeem my free drink, and the guy at the register took my phone and tap the “redeemed” button in my app, and then said you owe me 49 cents. I said “Why? The drink is free!” He said 49 cents is a tax you have to pay on the drink.This guy along with the owner or a manager of this location is either were told to act stupid not to accept the coupons for some reason or he is allegedly sabotaging someone’s business. So, I am trying to file a complaint with the headquarter. We will see. One more thought guys, this is not America here anymore, this is a country that is worst than any other developing, poorest country in the world in general and a customer service in particular.

The upper hand that this subway had over others was the $7.61 combo for almost all subs as part of the student discount, but that is now gone; they only offer a 10% discount like all others in the area. What makes this subway be the worst now is that they also charge $1 for a refill, something that no other subway in the area does. I understand that you don't want people refilling again and again, but you could at least allow for one refill. I recommend others to just walk to the subway a block away from this one on third avenue and 27th street that allows for refills, has the 10% discount, more sitting space, and a working AC during the summer. What a shame.
