Steak 'n Shake

Undergoing restructuring and overall retraining of staff and has improved 100% from my last visit a few months ago! Jacqueline, Pearl, Cassie and the smiling gal who also came to check back with us, whose name I don't have....you all are doing a great job. Great burgers and shakes, much improved service and attentive, staff with great personalities. I am glad we gave the Cleveland Ave shop a second chance. We will be back.

Food here is very good but quite expensive. If you want anything customized, go inside. Drive through has made countless mistakes on things as basic as adding an additional slice of another type of cheese. However, if you take your messed up order inside they are very polite and completely open to fix your order.

They were slammed and understaffed, the manager was doing his best to take care of guests promptly only to be chastised by a patron and held up while trying to take her payment. Essentially because she wanted her meal discounted or comped. He maintained his composer and never most his cool. He promptly took another guests to-go order then mine. All while this woman did everything she could to cause a scene. There was a bus load highschoolers on top of the restaurant being slammed and only 2 waiters on the floor. I feel like my order was made quickly and I was taken care of to the best of his ability. I do think that the rest of the staff could have possibly done more to help make things run smoother by trying to multitask and show a little more hustle. Cross training staff members on all aspects of the restaurant is a good solution. All in all the lady making a fool of herself by blatantly causing a scene and using 4 or 5 different payment methods to finalize the bill was actually quite entertaining. If I am in the area I will definately eat there again.
