This is your standard hibachi grill restaurant. The lobby furniture was pretty run down. The building is very open with a high ceiling so it didn't feel crowded. I witnessed staff bickering in front of us after our waitress got the order wrong. Everything was worked out and the food was great but it isn't a place I'd go to again.

A couple of things:
1) This is not fast food. Dinner will take an hour and a half to two hours, even if they aren't busy.
2) The menu clearly states that 18% gratuity will be included for parties of 8 or more.
3) The order the food is served is typical for Japanese steakhouses. Rice, veggies, seafood, steak, and then chicken.
We like this restaurant when we have some guests to bring. It is not the best Japanese steakhouse I've been to, but it is good. The cooks are entertaining. We just visited with a party of twelve, and the service was good.

We went here with a groupon after reading all the negative reviews, so needless to say we weren't expecting a whole lot - but we were blown away. The food was excellent! We felt that every course was on par with or better than other Japanese spots, and the portions were quite generous. Full jumbo shrimp appetizers! The service was also spectacular, our entire table was laughing and clapping along with our chef for the whole meal. I am not sure if we got really lucky, or if the place is under new management or if the other reviewers are trying to sabotoge, but my wife and I will certainly be going back here again.
