THE best pizza in Columbus. Probably anywhere! :-) I have loved this place for year. Crispy thin crust, homemade sauce perfectly seasoned, old school pepperoni. The absolute best. Yum!
First time there pizza was great. The staff excellent. The Italian sub was very good also. Great home town small shop. We will definitely be back
Decided to try Gatto’s. There were a few patrons there when we arrived. We sat at the counter, but there were plenty of tables. The one thing you will notice from pics—they have no beer glasses! So my husband drank from a plastic tumbler. But I had wine, and they had wine glasses. The girl at the counter was the server and the cashier, and she was too young to serve alcohol, so she had to call one of the cooks from the back to get us drinks.
After sitting there for a while, we couldn’t help but notice the amount of carry out and delivery orders they do—there was always someone in line waiting for an order.
I ordered a veggie sub and my husband ordered a pepperoni pizza—pepperoni under the cheese. It was a traditional Columbus-style pizza, and he liked it a lot! My sun was loaded with veg and was served on a sub roll from Audino’s Italian Bakery—very good. It was a light bread with a crunchy crust—nice accompaniment to my veggies. Would have loved to order a salad, but they only came in pint and quart deli containers—meant for to go orders. I could had spilled it onto a paper plate, but didn’t want that.
I would like to go back to try wings, spaghetti, lasagna. But will probably get it to go, because I’d prefer not to eat on paper plates.
Finally! A pizza place that will actually bake it well done when asked and it's actually well done! Perfectly crunchy crust. Generous amount of toppings. No chewy fatty bacon. Great prices too, especially when they send out coupons in the mail. New go-to.
Tony was great! Funny and nice made us all feel welcome. We loved the food ,it was great quality the inside was nice definitely would eat again next time we're in Columbus.

Enjoyed eating at the new location. This is a longtime favorite restaurant in Clintonville. Always get the sausage and pepperoni pizza and love it.
UPDATE: Boy things have really improved, our orders are always perfect, the pizza is fantastic, really nice sauce and a good cook on the pie, they've definitely addressed the communication aspect that used to give us trouble.

My wife and I want to support a local place like this so badly, and the pie is delicious, but they simply can't get the order right. Three times we've attempted delivery, a simple half-pep/half-cheese, every time it's all pepperoni, so the vegetarian is left waiting for them to fix it. Today I figured it'd be safer to pick it up, was very clear over the phone, went in, all-pep once again. Told me it'd be 20 minutes to make the correct one, hard pass. It's not a complicated order but they just can't manage to get it right and at this point we've had to give up on them entirely.
Ordering was very easy. It was ready when promised. Parking was just in front of pizzeria. I didn't see any other place to park. The pizza looked awesome. Although the Italian sausage was in strips not in the little pellets. So looked different, but tasted very good. Really glad I found this place.
Meatball sub,ham and cheese sub,and ravioli dinner with salad all we're delicious, and nice seating areas, inside and out.we went again and gattos did not disappoint, the pep and cheese pizza was delicious, meatballs and salad were great
Great crust and sauce. Not skimpy with the pepperoni. Double Italian sub is on point too.
Great Columbus style pizza! Nice crunchy crust and they don’t skimp on the toppings!
Great old fashioned pizza... love the "original" classic pepperoni... yummy pizza
