Eastern Bay

Before COVID they had a very well attended buffet. At the end of February 2023, the buffet is still not open, so this time, I ordered a dish I had not had in years and they did it very well. Even the egg roll was tasty. I thought the spicy mustard could have been spicier. And I was able to get a Coke.

Prices were a bit high but overall food was good. I got the General Tso which was tasty. I tried the candied sweet potatoes which were very interesting, I’ve never had a dish like this before. They were similar to fries with a sweet potato glaze on them. The glaze was tacky like toffee making the fries hard to pull apart. They were good just not sure if it’s something I’d get again. It was interesting to try for sure. You’ll have to try them yourself & see what you think.

We got carry out - the food was very decent for the price and the portions were generous. The building is a little tough to spot/get to off Riverside but it is fairly manageable. The majority of orders they were doing were all takeout and they ran a bit over the time they quoted over the phone. They were running about five different delivery apps and taking phone orders, so while I was waiting there was pretty constant noise from all that. Overall, I'll order from here again but probably pad the pickup time a bit to avoid waiting too long inside. Don't think I'd dine in though due to the noise and wait times.
