Hunan Lion Gourmet Chinese

The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, with etched glass, detailed art, and mirrors. The fish tank is a big plus! The food was the best Chinese I’ve ever had. My boyfriend and I got the Szechuan and Sesame chicken. So tender and flavorful! I will definitely be giving them more business in the future!

I would give 10 stars on all if I could! Great food, service, and atmosphere. Ate here 2 days in a row while visiting Columbus for several days. True traditional tasty Chinese fare complete with jasmine tea, chopsticks, and fortune cookies. Thai options available and excellent. Great place to have a relaxing meal with colleague, friend, or family. Peaceful music. Comfortable setting. Very vegetarian friendly. Happy to convert any meat or seafood dish to vegetarian. Eggplant dishes awesome! Soups and dumplings dumplings delicious! Scallop, shrimp, and calamari dishes also great. Perfect preparation. See photos!

When restaurants open in 1987 like the human lion and they are still serving today it’s almost always bc they are exceptional. The Hunan lion is most definite exceptional. Same owners all these years and they care A LOT about their biz and it shows. If ur this far reading I’ll just say this. IF you eat at the HL and ur being honest I really think you will say, “this is the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to.” Outside of perhaps China which I don’t see many Americans visiting in the near future. Well at least we have the Hunan Lion on Bethel:))
