Amazing market fish, poutine, and soup of the day. It was a quiet and calm atmosphere, great for a quiet date or conversation. Great rose flight and drinks. There is a bar area separate from the dining room, and dedicated parking out back! Service was absolutely amazing, Laura was so kind and attentive.
Excellent meal, drinks and service. Our server Andrew was excellent. My Mom had the scallops special and the rest of us tried the Ohio trout and prawns wrapped in pancetta with squid ink pasta. Cobbler for dessert. Such a cute place.
Celebrated my birthday here with 5 girlfriends. Everything we ordered was outstanding!! I loved the Gin & Roses. Drink menu is impressive and the appetizers and main courses are unique and delicious! I had the pork chop that was served over andouille(sp) sausage with gravy, cheddar grits and braised collard greens😱. Only (very) minor complaint was that one of the girl's burgers came out pretty undercooked, but the waitress was super sweet about it and had it fixed quickly! Being that this restaurant used to house Alaina's, it had some big shoes to fill. I'm happy to say that it Trillium held it's own!
Everything we had was delicious! I couldn’t decide on an entree so I just had 3 small plates instead; shrimp & grits, duck confit spring rolls, and the ridiculously rich pork cheek poutine(photo)! We will absolutely be back for more!
Brought my mother and sister here when they came to visit. And we had a great time. The staff was extraordinarily friendly. I had the Spagbark Spelt Pasta, which was excellent. I would definitely visit again.
The menu is creative and the chef delivers on every item. This is a must visit in Columbus
Just one visit so far and enjoyed the prix fixe Valentine's Day offering of a lobster dinner. We savored the soup with a butternut squash base. The green salad was as good as it gets with exquisite fresh greens. The folks were responsive to our request to take our time. The server was so very good throughout our time there. The wine expert set us up with an excellent beaujolais (not on the wine list) when we asked for a red wine to accompany the lobster dinner. And oh, the cocktail was inspired. Certainly will be returning.
We were most excited to find this restaurant during our brief visit to Columbus. The food was outstanding and creative and the cocktails really worked well against what was offered on the menu. The only thing that kept it from being a perfect experience was the awkward waiter, but in hindsight, that was just a blip in an otherwise great meal.
First the food. It is good but not special. For Columbus it is probably 5 stars but compared to other cities is is more like a 4 or a 3.5. Nothing I had was bad just not great. I had the bone in strip and caprese salad. The cheese on the caprese salad was very good but the tomatoes did not have much flavor. The drinks from their cocktail menu, I must say are very good. One down side is there is no valet and the only parking is street parking which can be tricky. Another issue was the service was very slow. We had a 50 minute wait between our appetizers and main course. The manager blamed it on our server and the server blamed it on the kitchen. They did comp us dessert, but I did not like how they threw people under the bus.
Warm, friendly, soothing atmosphere. Low lights, but not too low. Pretty bar. Easy to have a conversation. Nice menu of inventive but enticing locally-sourced entrees. Cocktails with local liquors. Small plates. Good salads. A really nice experience. A place for grown-ups. Or perfect for a dinner date.
