King Gyros Greek Restaurant

Best Greek in town, Yanni, the owner, is always present somewhere in the building, ensuring that things are moving smoothly helps his staff provide the great service. In the day and of poor service and average product, King Gyro goes above and beyond, and it is the reason that they are so busy. Never a long wait, very clean/organized, friendly staff, and prices are very reasonable. King Gyro will turn you into a regular patron!

They highest rates Greek spot for a reason. Everytime I come here they treat me like my presence matters. Always catering toy needs and ensuring that the order is right every time. This place is literally what customer service is all about. I have seen them correct each other to make sure the order and price is right. I have even seen them call out to the cooks to make sure they are on point as well. I mean come on, what more can you ask for. The presentation of desserts from the love they spread over your encounter. I will always be a fan. Especially because you even see the owner working as hard the employees do. This is it!

Not the best value for how big the portions are for the price of the food. My order was a gyro, fresh cut fries and Greek salad. A little skimpy on dressing and sauce, $2 for additional which is steep. Food had very good flavor and was hard to pick a favorite when compared to the Mad Greek just down the road, which is usually my go to.

Food was great. Got the souvlaki and feta bowl: the meat was cooked perfectly and the topping sauce was great. But the baklava, I will dream of it. It was so, so good. Got the pecan and the traditional with the chocolate. They both managed to have their own unique taste. The only thing I don't like is how out of the way this place is.

From the gorgeous paintings to the food, honestly 10/10. I was absolutely in love with the interior of the restaurant. I ordered the Gyro Greek Salad, Fries, and Peach Tea. The food was so flavorful and the staff was really friendly. I'm definitely going to be bringing the fam back to enjoy this place.

I discovered this gem 20 years ago and still have yet to find anything like it after I left Columbus in 2008. I always make a point to stop here during my visits. It's a must! I finally got to visit them after nearly 4 years and let me tell you...It.Still.Slaps. Consistently great food and service is a rarity in this industry, but you get it here. I always order way too much, so I have plenty leftover! It's hard to pick favorites, but the fresh cut fries, spanakopita and dolmades are my musts. The sauce on the dolmades is the best I've ever had. Nobody comes close. Yianni is always so nice and he even remembered me although I don't come in regularly. He also has the most patient staff. Do yourself a favor and don't keep passing this place!

Update! 8/15/23 After seeing my review the owner reached out and offered to replace my order. Now this one was as delicious as I expected it to be. The place was busy but I still got my order pretty quickly and the food was hot & fresh. The fried fish meals I ordered were great! Original post: Usually good, today was horrible. Ordered a king falafel gyro. The falafel pieces were small, hard and disgusting. Whoever made it tried to hide it by going extremely overboard with the toppings. I basically had a salad in a pita wrap with a hard brick in the middle. Think I’ll give them a break for a while and try another place next time I want Greek.
