Seasoning 63

They've got a pretty good lunch bar where they make an assortment of things and you can pick 3 items and get some rice and a soup for $10. The food is definitely authentic Chinese and may not appeal to the standard American palette. There are a lot of the meats are chopped bone in, and it is a good place to come if you are looking for food cooked with five spice rather than the sticky sweet breading you find at a place like Panda Express. Lunch is a very good value if you are adventurous or know what you are looking for.

The first thing I want to say is that I have seen all of the reviews so maybe my experience is an anomaly, but I have to be honest about the food I received. I have eaten food all over the country, yet I have NEVER tasted this flavor that seasoning 63 provided. It tasted like a mixture of battery acid and NyQuil Cold & Flu Nightmare Relief. I ordered 5 items. General Tso, Orange Chicken, Fried Rice, Wings (not sauced), and Eggrolls. ALL OF THE ITEMS had this TOXIC flavor (Except the unsauced wings). My girlfriend tried the food and her reaction was the same. They were all sautéed in battery acid except the wings. I am glad I ordered delivery, otherwise I would have had to get up and leave in the middle of the restaurant. Anyone who is worried about taking the vaccine, you should be far more worried about eating the food here. $41 gone, but now I know where not to order. EDIT: 6/6/2020 A friend of mine wanted to eat here so I decided to give it another shot... and wow! It tastes significantly better. I got the Lar Lar chicken and the Chicken Lo Mein and they are absolutely phenomenal. Only difference is that I ate at the restaurant this time during lunch hours as opposed to ordering delivery when they were almost closed. Because of such a large difference in taste between my first time and this time, I'm afraid that maybe I received spoiled, old, or tainted food during my first visit. Nonetheless, I will be eating here again.
