I love the Nirvana, it's my favorite drink. Dunn Brothers is a great place to meet up with a friend because of the comfortable environment. Usually, it is well maintained regarding cleanliness. Today, however, was a different story. The tissue paper container was empty and paper towels sat on the bar rail. A used feminine product sat rolled up on the top of the tissue holder. Love this place, but the condition of the bathroom is unacceptable. I hope they will take care of that because I enjoy the coffee.

I’ve always loved Dunn Bros until today. I bought our breakfast to take home and they double cupped the coffee and it spilled all over me and my car. When I went to pick it up the cover came off and all 10oz poured out. Then I called to tell them and they did not care. They just wanted to know how they could help me today. Really?!?! NEVER GOING BACK! And telling everyone the same. Poor customer service.

I have enjoyed this place for Almost 15 years. Is so calming . My most favorite thing is the Dunn Brothers infinite black cold brew coffee! It is my exclusive coffee to drink. I heat it up in Fall and Winter and drink it cold in the Spring and Summer. I fill up my jug once a week.

This coffee shop serves good coffee and pastries. It does however need a thorough cleaning and dusting. Not always open on time, and the service is soooo slow. I have waited 25 minutes for a cappuccino before and with only one person ahead of me in line. Friendly staff!

Gross, old, not taken care of, and the worst coffee I've ever tasted. Being in a prime business spot in Columbia is truly the only thing keeping the doors open.
Recommendations:
Put some effort into the appearance. Garage sale furniture, torn carpet, and fake plants coated in dust make it nauseating to be there. Get some hardy, real plants. Invest in some decent furniture, stabilize the rocky tables, and clean the glass.
Adjust the roasting process. Coffee has tasted very burnt every time I have had it. The iced coffee is way too watered down. The espresso shots were very burnt and gritty.
Train your baristas. Someone that does not know what a cappuccino is should have no business serving drinks. Respectfully, I understand being new is hard and I have no hard feelings towards learning. I have worked in craft coffee shops for 3 years and I know the difference between a traditional macchiato and a cappuccino, they should not even be relatively close to the same thing.

Coffee is decent at best. This location used to offer free refills in house and recently did away with it. Seem to have a high revolving rate of employees. The breakfast sandwiches are great, though.

Good coffee, mediocre service, inconsistent hours and lackluster atmosphere.
The coffee is great but that's about where it ends. Every table wobbles, most have wads of napkins shoved under a foot for balance. The armchairs appear to have come from a hotel/garage sale (worn & dirty). If dust bothers you, don't bother looking up, the decor hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. The hours are only good for the morning (not early morning) and early afternoon crowd. They are closed by 5pm most days. At times they close in such an impromptu fashion that you arrive to find a handwritten note on the door. The WiFi would be ok if it worked well. It's in a great location. They have great coffee. Everything else is just sad.
***UPDATE*** Dunn brothers has now done away with free or even discounted coffee refills. This is apparently to promote their payment app. The app lets you pay but the loyalty reward system is not on par with, or close to, that of Starbucks or Caribou.
Another minor change, some of the dirty armchairs have been replaced. Sadly, their replacements are hard as rocks.

At Dunn Bros Café in Columbia, MO, the coffee roaster is placed by the entrance where ordinary coffee lovers can see the roasting process, feel the heat, and smell the aroma. They are confident in their products and believe in their brand. More importantly, they demonstrate respect and appreciation to their customers. The staff are not only friendly but they treat you like a family. When they see me walk in, I don't need to say a word, they know my favorite drink. Really cool!
