Outback Steakhouse

Let me start by saying I am really giving them a 3.5. But idk how to do half a star. So me and the family went there a few days ago to celebrate my step son birthday. The big 11.. he wanted to go there for his birthday. Now keep in mind none of us ever ate there before. So i went in a bit skeptical. And i am.not a big steak fan. So just ordering took a minute. The one steak item I wanted to try they sauce that came with it.. they were out so I was not happy about that. But we all ordered. I got a rib and chicken plate. And to my surprise the food was actually pretty good. The free bread they gave was fresh and delicious. The employees seemed nice. Service was a little slow. Which I was shocked because it was not packed. But other than that. It was a surprisingly good meal. It was more thumbs up and than down. So yeah. I would recommend outback. I would go back. There were a few things I wanted to try.

We were seated as soon as we walked in after leaving another restaurant that had over an hour wait. We placed our drink orders and a blooming onion - boozy blueberry lemonade and cherry limeade. The waitress dropped my water on the way to the table and I didn't get another until the end of my meal... It took a long time to receive our cocktails (the boozy cherry limeade was good). The bread and appetizer arrived first. I requested my own bread and honey butter but it was the last item I received. My Alice Springs chicken came with very burnt mushrooms... after waiting until closing to get my meal, I had to send it back. The cook should have never sent that out. The loaded potato wasn't loaded. As I mentioned earlier, I didn't receive bread and honey butter until I was almost finished with my meal. I was having a horrible day and just wanted a good meal. Restaurants are having a difficult time obtaining quality staff... service tonight has convinced me to just cook and eat at home for awhile.

The woman at the door wanted me to sit at the bar while other can sit anywhere. (Minus one star ⭐) The bartenders weren't as friendly but I forced them to smile. The regulars get most of the service ( Another star deduction ⭐) I have been to a few steakhouses and this one will be rated as average which means I had better. The funny thing.. Only the Marriott in downtown Columbia can make a proper lemon drop. I have them 3 tries. One was not shaken with ice but was pour together. Training. Do I have to call Bar Rescue to this place?? The dinner made up for the rest. So cheers for the cooks. 🌞

If steaks were nothing but thick shoe leather, this meal would be a perfect experience. Outback steakhouse is a shadow of it's former self. I honestly don't know why I keep going back. It's like they are everywhere, so it's easy. I tell myself, "Self, maybe this time they won't totally screw it up". But alas, every time I have ordered anything from Outback Steakhouse in the last ten years, it has been dreadful. Do yourself a favor, and order food from Texas Roadhouse. They still care about quality, and their steaks far surpass the quasi-protein grey lumps of canvas that Outback serves as steaks.

The food was great and our server was excellent. I believe her name was Dee(?). She handled our family of 14, with multiple tabs, with patience and kindness. All our orders were correct and she checked back frequently even though they were extremely busy. We all enjoyed our lunch especially my 94 year old Papa. Thanks for making his birthday lunch a great experience!

A little disappointed..3rd time, my Chicken and shrimp pasta was super cold and the actual pasta noodles where hard and stuck together and very cold...Usually Outback food is delicious..Oh well..My son loved his dish..The waitress, she was nice.. I'm still waiting on our appetizers it's been 30 minutes, still waiting on my Steakhouse mac and cheese rolls 😫 Finally lol

Ordered take out. Was missing items. The guy bringing me my order was great but the two women handling the to go were annoyed that I went through the bag to check and had attitudes with me. Fast forward a few weeks. My family wanted outback tonight. Ugh my gut said no, but I went ahead and ordered to go anyway. This time I wouldn't even give them the 1 star I gave last time. Below I will add a pic of the chicken tenders. They were tough as I don't know what and extra small. We all know their meals aren't cheap. There was a time when you got decent sized tenders that were actually tender. My potato was extra small too and I had a Caesar salad that was full of romaine stalks. Understand romaine can have some stalks but when you discard them and you have more stalks then leafy lettuce...it's a problem. Below are the 3 tenders remaining.
