I'd like to try something at J. Peters other than the hamburger, however, it's so good, I can't stop ordering it. I get the loaded mashed potatoes to go with it and they are just too good for words. I love the atmosphere. The restaurant is very well decorated and the lighting is just right. It's classy looking and casual at the same time. My sister and I always get the cheese dip with jalapenos. Delicious. I plan to go back every chance I get. Love it!!
Loving the new location at Sparkleberry Square! The prime rib rocked, the croissants were melting in your mouth and both salads and dessers were delicious! Definitely coming back!

J. Peters opened recently in Chapin and we have been there MANY times since they have opened and have experienced great food and pretty good service however I do have one issue...my teenager would've liked to have ordered a grilled cheese which is on the children's menu when we went recently--she had her mind set on a grilled cheese and when we started ordering, she was questioned about her age since she is over 12. We were told that she could not order this since it was on the children's menu so she ordered a salad instead which she was not particularly happy with even thought they are delicious. I spoke with the manager after our dinner and she said that if we insisted on anything from the children's menu she would have to contact the owner of the restaurant to determine whether or not they would let a person over 12 order anything off of it. I asked if I had offered to pay an upcharge, would that make a difference and she said that it could possibly. We order items from the children's menu at many different restaurants, mainly because we can't eat a huge amount of food. If you are not going to let people over 12 order from your children's menu because of the price, may I suggest that you charge $1.00 or some kind of upcharge, or put some of the children's menu items on your adult menu? We will still visit J. Peters in Chapin on a regular basis because we do enjoy the food and the atmosphere however we were not very happy with the "customer service" aspect regarding the children's menu issue.
There is a J Peters in Chapin Currently and I LOVE it nothing could be changed about it the prime rib was great and I loved it the children's menu is perfect amount for kids and everything about it is wonderful really recommend it!
I have eaten here multiple times and I have not had a bad thing yet. I love J Peters....The food is some of the best for the price. Proportions of food is more than enough to satisfy. The service I have received has been great. I will continue to eat there especially when I want a great steak cooked to perfection.
Loved it! Everything was excellent from the service to the food. Had the Prime Rib, loaded baked potato and house salad. All were excellent!
J Peters is a fantastic establishment in the forest acres community and in my opinion as a tough food critic is full of not only great cuisine but lots of potential. The staff is polite and professional, if you come across this restaurant I would recommend to anyone there seafood or steak dishes, and to end the meal with perfection you cannot go wrong with one of there outstanding desserts. In fact this place is quite a good atmosphere for a date or family dinner.
