I live in Forest Acres but this was my first visit to Tombo. We had an incredible dinner: Split the crab cake appetizer, shared the Quinoa and Pumpkin Salad and the Pear Pomegranate salad. We each opted for the special menu item of Rib Eye Steak and then finished with Creme Brulee. The meal we ordered showed the skill of the kitchen--balances of sweet and acid, the difference between a medium rare vs a medium steak, the complexity of ingredient choices, and the amount of time to poach a pear just to leave the right amount of bite feel to the fruit.Each dish demonstrated the skills of cooking that many never master. Our waiter, Josh, made great recommendations for us--he had actually tasted the food served there. Add to that Thursday was "Date night" for pricing which gave us an incredible meal at very reasonable price. Bravo to Tombo for being well run and offering an upscale dining option at a small price. Now that I discovered this place I will definitely be back.
Chase (spelling) was our server and she was awesome. Knew the menu and made some amazing suggestions. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! Will definitely be back and recommending to our friends! Thank you to the staff all around. Best Birthday meal in a long time!
