My partner and I had just landed from Boston Massachusetts. Our host picked us up and asked if we was hungry and of course we said yes. He took us to liberty tap and I must say the wait staff was very and I mean very super friendly and on point with our order and drinks. I only wished that there was more establishment like Liberty Tap all over the world. Great Team and Great Food!!!
I had a wonderful experience at Liberty yesterday evening! What made it most memorable was our server, Joti. She was very helpful and extremely kind. I would return just to have her service. Also, I'm a huge steak lover and the filet was amazing and cooked just how I like it! I highly recommend Liberty to anyone in Columbia.
My family and I were visiting my son’s graduation from army basic training. He was able to leave base for a few hours. He wanted a fat burger. This place was heavenly. Food and service was great.

Our table had wings, burgers, steak, ribs, and chicken & waffles. All of them were fantastic!!! A little slow, but well worth the wait! Most taps in Columbia.
Hubby and I came for a quick bite. Had the she crab soup--it was amazing. Had the conch fritters--they were ok. I had the steak salad---it was ok. Hubby had the shrimp strawberry salad---it was ok. Overall we liked everything and will come back.
My family and I was served by a young man named Adrian. Adrian knew four things very well: (1) What substitutions were possible, (2) How to individually make sure each of us were well taken care of, (3) the sources and differences in the menu items (where the food was purchased and differences in those types of foods, and (4) enjoyed his work. Each of these traits matter..as a business consultant who teaches these things..and others...I know. The food was very good, but without the exceptional service it would just be another good restaurant to us. However, I believe when customer service is THAT good it should be rewarded. I asked to speak with his manager, Jacob, and explained how well we enjoyed the service.
She Crab soup was excellent. Shrimp and grits very good. Service was good. Read a few negative reviews but our experience was very positive.

New Favorite Chill Spot. I've just re-located to Columbia, and my aim is to try as many different restaurants as possibly while I'm here. This week however, was a bit of a fail in that department. I got stuck on Liberty Tap Room and ate there three times in a week and a half. Twice were casual week nights, and once was a late, frantic USC game night, and each time the service was prompt, friendly and spot-on. I love the atmosphere of this place- it's just comfy and relaxed, even when it's crowded, which is impressive to me. There is a dining room (which I've yet to see), bar seating inside with additional tables and booths, a "beer garden" (where we sat each visit) with outside bar-seating, plus short and tall tables, AND a completely outdoor patio section. Thus far I have tried the bleu cheese chips (I asked for honey on the side, and though I got a puzzled smile, the waiter brought it no-problem), the seared tenderloin app. w/ asparagus (asparagus was a bit undercooked, but still good), a side salad (a very good size/ratio/portion), the meatloaf (which is- quite frankly- a freaking huge serving), the Liberty Chicken (good), and the sweet potato fries (VERY good. Perfect crunch/softness combination. It doesn't come with a sauce though- try it with ranch and/or honey). I had a special request last night and it was actually met. The prices are appropriate for the value, in my opinion. The only thing I've noticed that I dislike is the size of the ahi tuna appetizer. My friends have ordered it twice so I can tell you that is consistently a very small app. for $10.
They also seem to have a lot of events here, such as live music, trivia nights, Sunday brunch, and kick-off parties. If you are particular about noise/atmosphere, I would be aware of this before visiting LTR, though there is the dining room on the other side of the restaurant so, maybe not.
Beside being packed most nights the food is great! I order from here even when I am at World of Beer. My favorite dish is the Liberty Chicken,... Wait.. no the BBQ pizza. I mean... the meatloaf and potatoes? I can't decide! Very good drinks as well. Pint night is a lot of fun!
Went for a birthday bar crawl here on a Saturday night, had a great time. They recently renovated the outdoor space to make a more sunroom type bar, which is pretty awesome. Jessy was our bartender- awesome bar staff! They have a lot of beers on the main bar that they don't have on the new bar, and she was willing to run back and forth for our group, and smiled the whole time. Made us really great shot reccomendations so that we could split between the ten of us. I will definitely be back, if not for food, the hot and friendly bartender

Turned out great!. We (a party of 4) went to Liberty on Saturday (7/7/12) for dinner around 7 o'clock. We were seated immediately... which was great for a restaurant in the Vista on a Saturday night... but we ended up sitting there for several minutes without service. Several servers passed us by, but no one bothered to come and at least take our drink order. After several more minutes I finally went and spoke with a manager (Jacob). He sincerely apologized for the wait and told me he would personally take care of us. And he certainly did. Our service was excellent and the food was fabulous. Honestly, it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in the Vista.
Most of the time when you "complain" to a manager the most that is done is they will say something to the wait staff and maybe knock a few dollars off the tab. This manager went above and beyond and it didn't cost the restauarant a single dime and he ended up with a table of 4 very happy diners. He was attentive and knowledgeable and made it an excellent experience. There is no doubt... we will definitely make this a regular dining spot.
Ahi tuna salad and burgers are both fantastic.. As well as the salmon, shrimp and grits... And honestly anything on their menu!! :)
