Well the food was good. I liked everything that I ate. The milkshake was fantastic!!! The only thing I would do differently is try to get the cheese sauce from the fries on the steak sandwich. That would have been awesome.
Amazing! The bread is not too tough like most places, but also holds up if you get sauce because the sauce is thick and on top away from the roll (I used ketchup for this one). Probably the best meat I gotten in a cheese steak, and chopped to perfection.
It sounds like some people feel uncomfortable eating alone if they don't have other customers (???) Weird, but I also ate alone and it was a nice view and the staff was very friendly.
For the price and convenient location, you really can't beat it!

We were in Columbia to rent a couple of e-bikes at the newly opened Lets Roll bicycle shop on Locust. We headed over to Mr Joe's Steak House expecting to dine on a coupe of NY strip steaks or rib eyes. NOPE. Mr Joe's makes chopped steak sandwiches, but by cracky he does it very very well. Some of the best tasting beef I've eaten in a long long time. This was not a stereotypical Philly cheesesteak either. The sandwich bagan with slices of provolone on a tasty soft roll, filled with tenderly delicious chopped steak that was not over cooked, and topped with a marinara sauce. Absolutely delicious! We also tried the onion rings that were dipped in a light beer batter and fried to perfection. The food here was a delight to eat. I star off though due to the uncleanliness and clutter throughout the restaurant.
Best cheesesteak's served with amazing hospitality and smiles. Very polite family.
The best cheesesteak in Columbia I want to say in Lancaster County it's definitely better than the other steak places in Columbia it may cost you a little bit more what the quality of the steak you can't beat it's not 90% onions like those other places
I love the food here. Great steak sandwiches! Lots of variety to choose from. They have a children's menu. You can get milkshakes and ice cream. They have pasta dishes. Just all around good food. The family is so nice. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
I love their cheese steak sandwiches. I add lettuce, tomatoes and raw onions. It had a very fresh roll, the steak meat was tender ( no gristle or fat) and the sauce was just the finishing touch. The sweet potato fries are great. Top your meal off with a fountain soda with a splash of flavor (we add vanilla).
This is not a fancy place however I highly recommend it for a steak sandwich!
Best little steak shop around. The staff is great, no nonsense service straight to the point and great food. If you're looking for a upstanding restaurant this isn't the place, however if you want the best steak around this is your place.
By far the best cheese steaks ever. And love the real vanilla cokes that they make. They still have all the orginal retro 50s milk shake maker and soda dispensers although they don't work anymore it's cool to see that stuff.
This cheese steak with sauce and mushrooms and onions was just like I remember when I was growing up in Colombia.!! Basket block to them with their business being open and I will be back very soon. Thank you Jose steak shop keep up the great work and the place was very clean.
