I finally found my Chinese restaurant here in Colorado Springs! I ordered the lunch special, it was a great price $16 (with tax) for a soup, egg roll and entree. I would highly recommend. The staff is friendly and welcoming as well.
There’s plenty of parking and it’s located near the DMV.
Wow, this place is a gem! It’s immaculately clean, easy parking, big interior with comfortable booths and tables that aren’t crammed too close, and a calm atmosphere.
The food is amazing! I had the General Tso’s chicken lunch special, and it was some of the best I’ve found in town. It’s actually slightly spicy rather than sugary, made with good meat and a rich sauce over onions and bell peppers.
Service was great, too; you actually get fountain sodas with refills instead of just a single can of Coke like at other places.
I’ll definitely be back.
Decent asian resteraunt. I have only eaten here a few times. It's not near my home or where I am throughout most days, so don't be surprised by the limited visits. It's got a pleasant decor, fairly quick service & well prepared dishes. I liked that they keep the lunch special prices available even on Sundays as of Nov 2023. My wife & I ordered 2 specials with water for under $35, including tip.
About the food, we had Kung Pao Chicken & General Tso Chicken. Both meals came with our choice of soup, type of rice, an egg roll & the entree. The flavors were pretty equal with some of the better asian places I enjoy ordering. The portions were enough for us to take home some left-overs.
I'm not usually one to spend $15-$20 for a meal. But I would consider coming back on a date with my wife or double date with friends, if it was closer to home.
Great customer service, super fast. I got the Sweet & Sour Chicken, I love the veggies that come with it, so in my opinion, it could have used more of the veggies. Large portions/serving sizes, The prices are a tad high, maybe just $2 lower and it would be perfect. But overall it was delicious and I would definitely recommend.
Fresh veges, tender meat! I'll not eat at another Chinese restaurant in the Springs except this one! My standard to compare all other dining establishments to. Great staff/owners, delicious food and great environment. Be careful because this place will fill up quickly although we had no wait. They encouraged us to share an entree (a couple did and got generous portions of the added soup, egg rolls, etc). Definitely had enough for leftovers! Thoroughly enjoyed our experience here and the food is phenomenal.
I went in for lunch and got sat immediately. It was sort of busy, but we were greeted immediately. Our server was very kind and she made suggestions and recommendations. The food was very fairly priced for lunch. We had egg drop soup and sweet and sour soup to start off. I had the Chicken Fried Rice and my friend had the General Tso’s Chicken. Everything was delicious and food came out quick! I’ll be back, would recommend!
Shangri-La is always a great meal! The staff is very attentive and courteous, and the portions are generous enough that we always have leftovers for the next day.
Best place for Chinese that we have found in the Springs!
In fact, it's the only one I know of that serves beef chow fun, which is a favorite of mine. And their BBQ pork fried rice is so good that I always buy an extra for the next day.
This is a little gem. It looks like a fast food place from the outside but do not be fooled. This is now my favorite Asian food anywhere! Wonderful service above and beyond. The food is fresh and just the best u could ask for. Just doing this review makes me want to go there. We drive 50 miles just to go here.
Not only was the food amazing, it was also decorated and set very nicely with linens. The added details to their place settings and meal delivery adds to the ambiance of a great restaurant that you feel welcome at and not rushed. Very clean! We will definitely be back with family.
The service is great, the vegetables are always fresh and crisp, the food is wonderful and if you like your food with a little fire I recommend going 2 star spicy.
